Introducing The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph, 40mm And Just Right (Live Pics, Specs, Official Pricing)
This is the chronograph we have been waiting for from Cartier. The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is round, 40 mm in diameter, uses Cartier's great in-house caliber 1904-CH, and looks fantastic. 2 OF 4 When we reviewed the Calibre de Cartier Chronograph here, we agreed that though the merits of the excellent in-house chronograph movement were very real selling points, there was a lack of design cohesiveness throughout the piece-seen primarily on the dial. Here, the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph provides us with a more balanced, traditional dial with the full Roman numeral treatment, silvered outer minute track, and Breguet hands. 3 OF 4 The 40 mm case is wonderfully balanced, and the rectangular pushers are incredibly subtle from the front of the case looking at the watch. Inside the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is the same great 1904-CH self-winding movement from the Calibre Chrono. Here though, it actually fills up more of the case than with the Calibre

Market Pricing?
Is there a thread which gives an overview of market pricing, like what discounts to expect from retailers? Or particular values in the used market?I was looking at some recent offerings on Calatravas. (Yes I'm already planning the next, a week after nabbing the 5296). I noticed the 6000G, while not my favorite, was substantially reduced from retail. At the other end, a 3-yr old 5196 is offered at a price that seems higher than what one might expect to buy new.I suppose such an overview of pricing is too monumental for a thread topic, but I thought I'd ask. Probably better off asking on individual pieces...Well, if anyone has input feel free to chime in. Otherwise I'll sit and listen to the crickets....
372 with water resistant oem straps
G'day everyone..Just got myself a new original panerai LUMINOR CALF CASHMERE strap. Most importantly for our hot humid climate, these new straps are water-resistant!Personally I think the color of the straps is a perfect match to the 372. Feels good too! The padded straps suit 372 more than the oem vintage non padded strap IMHO. The padded ones makes it look newer ie moving away from the DNA... Hahaha... Well I am in for the sake of the water resistances feature more than anything else. Anyhow, let me know what you think! Some pic to share...
