The new 42 vampire ceramic bezel test-drive
I was interested in the new 42 ceramic as I'm looking for a easy daily AP. Had some time to kill and stopped by the boutique today. While the overall weight makes it an easy piece to wear, the ceramic bezel did not have the vertical lines that the 44's have. It was a smooth finish. The one thing that I could not get past to put a deposit down was the strap. All other new AP rubber straps are all matte finished and pliable. This strap was stiffer than usual. (The best strap is on the titanium 44)But the biggest non starter was the shiny strap. It's like how a rubber strap gets after years of use. I had the 44 titanium out as well and the salesperson said she noticed it too. Here are some pics...And for the strap...

Chrono diver model question
Can someone tell me if the older models of Chrono diver (from the mid nineties) have a bigger size than the current 2225.80?I am confused because I see the old models described as up to 44 mm, whereas the current 2225.80 is 41,5 mm. Other hand I never read explicitly that the Chrono diver was reduced in size. Did Omega maybe change their size measuring method?
Back to work
After a great weekend, picking up my new aquanaut and going to the Champions League final, it was back to work in Qatar this morning.
Hi All
After lurking on this forum for ages, I finally took the plunge to register! A small introduction if I may? I'm an Englishman who left my home country almost 10 years ago to follow the dream in the US. After living in Chicago and Louisville, I now find myself just a shade south of Nashville. A long time watch lover, I own several Rollie's, a couple of Panerai and some Breitlings. Only having lived here for a few months, I've only been able to find a couple of PP dealers in the whole state. So, if anyone on here knows any others or a good, reputable used dealer, that would be great. I've always kept a side watch fund account, but have not touched it for a couple of years, and now really am into a PP or AP. One local dealer has a 5146J, which I adore, but even though it's new, it looks like it's been tried on by half of TN! Do you think that matters? Or am I just being stupid about wanting a sealed one? Furthermore, I've really enjoyed the hunt and am nervous of reaching its conclusion!!
