Watch_Amish Is Hilarious, Honest Commentary On All Luxury Watch Social Media
What does AP stand for? Amish aPproved #teamwatchamish #thefarmlifeinc #royaloak #ultrathin #watchgame #womw #audermarspiguet #ap #luxury #amishapprovedA photo posted by Eli Hershberger (@watch_amish) on Aug 24, 2014 at 12:01pm PDTIt takes a certain degree of familiarity with what happens on a daily basis in the watch lover world on (mostly) Instagram to understand the various levels of humor found in the remarkably on-point satirical Instagram account "Watch_Amish." On the surface, you have a pretty darn funny place that ironically combines Amish lifestyle with luxury timepieces, as well as a deeper element of social commentary on the arguably absurd and socially irresponsible environment that now exists in many luxury watch social media channel accounts. The "Watch Amish" name is first and foremost a humorous retort to "Watch Anish," a luxury watch lifestyle and fashion channel on Instagram started by Mr. Anish Bhatt as a way of combining his clever visual talents and appreciation of
What next?
Hi all,I have been very fortunate to get good advice and suggestions from all the experts of this great forum. My watch collection currently consists of BLNR, Speedy, Sub-C and latest addition Ti44 which was my first AP. I have found myself wearing the Ti44 all the time and really love this watch. It is comfortable and accuracy is spot on.I have set a certain limit for my collection and I am considering the following options (I am not considering ROs or Pateks at the moment):1) Trade my Ti44 for Ti Schumi and be done with it (only 1 AP+current watches)2) Keep the Ti44 and add an AP Diver for variety (15710ST), possibly adding RO (15400st) later on3) Keep the Ti44 and add another 44 novelty (new ceramic, FC or 26401ro; which one?)As the Ti44 and Ti Schumi are a bit similar (at least from a distance), I am wondering whether it is worth of spending such a premium. Going rate of Schumi is > 50k EUR at the moment. Also my Ti has a 5 year warranty which is not the case with Schumi. On the
Best Nautilus / Aquanaut combination - what would you choose
I'm about to pull the trigger and will buy 1 Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut. Models I love are:-Aquanaut 5167r and both 5164's.Nautilus - 5712 g and a and 5726a with leather strap. The crazy wait time for 5711a is just too much for me.If you could have 1 of each which would you choose and why???I'm erring towards 5712g and 5167r just now. Thin case profiles, 1 complicated and 1 time only watch and of course different metals. Sadly, the Premium for 5164r is just a little too much!Which would you choose and why?
First: First Post. First Patek. 5524G
I am a long-time collector with varied tastes and interests. I own only one Rolex (Explorer II Polar 42mm), and up until today, no Patek. I focused on some independents, some custom pieces, IWC, AP, Omega, Germans and others. Basically, I carefully collect what hits that nerve!I was smitten with the 5524G when it was introduced. I decided then, that I would own one, but would hold off and commemorate the sale of my business with this piece one day. At that moment, there was no specific timetable. Pleased to report the business transaction was finalized very recently...so...5524G here I come!I was able to find one (NIB) at an appropriate price with little drama. I picked it up today and am very pleased. The watch has been reviewed, discussed, photographed, by so many collectors and enthusiasts that I won't do so here. But I will share my first impressions, hours old now.The size, weight and wrist presence is a perfect match for my taste. I wear mostly sport/pilot/dive watches and am com
Hi All, need all the help and info . PP 5235 / 5170G
Hi allIn months time, (could be 1-2) I should hv the opportunity to make a very important decision, that's the ticket to PP club.Frankly very excited, as some one in the forum said All watches lead to Patek (sori forgot the member's name who mentioned that) and it takes me almost 20 years, and more than 120 watches to realize that ...has been focusing on indies watches for the past 8 years in fact.Well, better be late than never, and I believe this wil not be the last PP for me.Here's comes the dilemms.....I hv narrowed down to both PP 5235 & 5170G, and well my kind AD has given me the word, and support, I wil be the first on e list for both incoming watches. Actually, was given the priority to view and decide on the 5235, but on the nite before collecting the watch ( gotten info on 5170G) and well, my kind AD suggested me to think over or decide later when readyIn fact, I hv decided on the 5235 especially with all the positive words and review (a sincere thanks to bro Conkers, who
