Gray Mkt
I'm still new so I apologize if there is a thread on this already....I was at an AD yesterday and the salesperson was basically telling me that, without me having a prior relationship with an AD, it was near impossible to get a Sea Dweller anytime in the next year or two. I mentioned to her that it seems I have no choice but to go to the gray mkt. She informed me to be careful, b/c she's had atleast two preferred clients that purchased from non-AD's and when they sent their watches to Rolex for service, Rolex said the watch had been stolen and sent back to the original buyer. Has anyone heard of this before? If so, how is it possible to get comfortable buying from the gray mkt unless the person you're buying from is the original owner?

My 2 year old 116710ln is running about +15seconds per day, and I am planning to take it down the the Rolex Service Centre on St James Sq, London.Would this be a quick fix or would I need to have it serviced? Also would I have any issues bringing it in on the isofrane which I wear it on ?

How long does Rolex provide service/repair parts?

Incoming - Explorer II 16570
Very happy to be heading into the Thanksgiving holiday with a new to me 16570. Here's my journey this this one: I tried on this model several years ago and really liked it. Thought it was the most comfortable Rolex/Tudor I had every worn, at least for my wrist. But I always felt that I wanted my Rolex (I only keep one in my collection, at least right now) to be a little dressier, so I stayed away, and opted for DJs and six digit GMTs (LN and BLNR). Enjoyed them all.But earlier this year I acquired a true dress watch (a humble but wonderful Nomos Orion), and that helped expand my horizons. I wear a suit pretty often, and with the Nomos to slide neatly under the cuff, I started to think about some of the sportier references that I always liked, but had shied away from.Enter the 16570. Comfy and rugged at the same time, easily readable,a second time zone, etc. Quasi vintage, or at least heading in that direction. And, in today's market, a relative bargain. Interestingly, it's th
