DSSD or AP Diver
Wanted to get some input from TRF. I know this is the AP section, so I might get a biased result, but here it is.I'm looking at picking up a minimal piece to put into the rotation. Something you would wear almost on a daily basis. I've been looking at the Rolex DSSD D-Blue and the AP Diver with white dial. The DSSD James Cameron just gets my attention for some reason. I've never been a big Rolex guy, but this one really sings to me. I do have an Explorer 2 that I rotate in every once in a while. On the other hand, the AP Diver with White dial ahs always been of interest to me. I'm thinking I can add a white strap during the summer and would add some versatility. My only concern is this would be a 3rd ROO to my collection. I already have a ROO 44 in FC and RG. Should I venture away from the ROO line this time around and get something different?
Thinking of trading my TT bluesy toward ROO
Some of my Rolex buddies will probably think this is crazy but I have an excellent condition (perfect condition actually) TT Bluesy submariner 116613LB that I think I can get $10,300 for (two gray dealers offered me $9500 for it) and use that toward buying a brand-new AP Royal Oak Offshore chronograph. My only concern is the bezel of the AP looks like it is the ultimate scratch magnet. What do you guys think? Is the movement in this AP dependable? Who has them and really likes them? I would absolutely have to sell the submariner to help finance the AP. Thanks!!
Which One???
Galactic, Chronomat Airborne or Avenger Blackbird.......which one should I get???
New favorite strap!
Just got my Gunny Dark Oil strap. Love it!!! I had it customized a little. Custom hole locations, 4mm thickness throughout, dead end stitching. I'll test its water resistance later.
16610LV Price Questions
Evening Team,I'm keen on this watch, and would be grateful to hear from LV owners and others what they think is a good price in the current market. I ask because, according to Chrono24 and Watchrecon, they retail for anything between $8-25k, with the average being around the $10-11k mark. I note that later M models can be picked up for around $15k new and unworn, and earlier models (including Flat Four models) can be found for $17-25k unworn. What with the SS Sky Dweller being a difficult watch to find, I'm debating the merits of parking that one for a time and getting the LV instead. They are much easier to find, and completely fabulous. For a watch with box and papers in mint condition, what is the most you'd pay? Would you pay more and get one new and unworn?I intend to keep it, and would look after it.Best,TA
