Lm-Tec Combat B16 + Super Combat B2: Part 1
The Lm-Tec Combat B16 and Super Combat B2 watches clearly have a lot in common. They are part of the same series, have basically the same case design in terms of looks, and have similar styling that speaks to a military aesthetic. But there are many subtle differences that give the two watches very different personalities, from the materials they are made of, to the movements that power them to simply how they wear. Fortunately Chris Wiegand, the CEO of Lm-Tec, has given us the opportunity to look at, wear and examine both watches, simultaneously. So, this review will work a bit differently than our typical reviews. Today, we are presenting you with two independent first impressions of the watches, one by Zach and the other by Blake. My first time (+incoming)
I've always bought from an AD, but for a long time I've heard so much about DavidSW.. had a business trip in Orlando this past weekend so couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet him and see his one year old store... walked out with a BNIB moonwatch, my first modern omega . Service was fantastic , both David and Dan. Can not recommend enough ! (Ps apologies to any fellow TRF members who think I've gone over to the dark side...)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Straps for 47mm PAMs
So I'm in the market for 26mm straps and could use some suggestions. I haven't been in the strap market for a while, having mostly used OEM straps for 44mm models. What would you guys suggest? 26x26, 26x24, 26x22? Short or long tail? Burnished v rough edges? Sewn-in buckle v screw in? (Pics would be appreciated)
Authorized Dealer Servicing
I just acquired a 2005ish Explorer II complete set. Should I look into getting it serviced at a local AD that has a certified master watchmaker or do you think it is good to go if it is keeping accurate time? Here are my options:1.) Local AD for basic check / verification of functionality / possible servicing2.) Full service at AD (cheaper and quicker)3.) Send it directly to Rolex (more expensive and more time, but 2 year warranty and my name on ownership card)Thanks!
