Gucci Marina Chain Watch Collection - Women's Cruise 2009
A sexy bracelet that tells time. By Gucci. That's what this is.Gucci is a brand known for its Italian flair - classic shapes - and brilliant use of iconic motifs. You know a Gucci when you see it.This is holding true for their timepieces as well. As a relatively new extension of the brand, the watches are just a continuation of trends and designs that have already proven successful in their fashion and handbag lines. But one problem that seems to be clouding Gucci watches is that what works for handbags, does not always work for watches.I love Gucci - just not their watches. At least, not yet.Like the Gucci Marina Chain Watch, above, introduced at this year's Gucci Women's Cruise fashion show. In the context of a fashion show, this watch works. And in this promo shot below, it definitely fits in. The iconic logo bag - the neutral color palette - the lush fabrics But, for everyday wear - I do not see this as a wearable watch. The Marina Watch Collection definitely keeps up with id
Introducing: The A. Lange & S?hne Saxonia Thin
The Saxonia Thin, part of the iconic A. Lange & Söhne line that has already seen the introduction of the new Saxonia Moon Phase at SIHH 2016, is now being re-released with slight changes to the dial. 1 OF 4 The case measures at 40 mm and 5.9 mm thick and is available in white or pink gold. It features the same L093.1 manual winding movement (which is only 2.9 mm thick). One noticeable change to the dial is the removal of the dots at the end of each index – and the indexes have also been elongated. 2 OF 43 OF 4 The new A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin is priced at $24,500 in white or pink gold. For more information, please visit the A. Lange & Söhne website here. 4 OF 4 Follow HODINKEE's live SIHH 2016 updates here, and in our mobile app, and you can read all SIHH stories here.
Size matters help- ROO
Not unlike many on here I have a smaller wrist and trying to figure out if the ROO would be too large for my wrist. I wear suits at work so I think it best that I try one on before I buy. Thanks to David for the suggestion. As I live in southeastern VA there are no AD's around. Are there any forum members that live close that I could try one on or get comments from? Not trying to be presumptuous just looking for a little help. Thanks
How about this for Christmas?

I tried out the alaska project....
I was in an AD the other day and he offered me a 3570.50 for $3050USD and the list was $4000USD. It also had the trasparent back on the watch. He also had the Alaska Project limited edition and said he'd let it go for $5300USD. It looks sssssso nice. My interest in either is lukewarm since I would have liked to get an LV soon. Thing is I think the Speedy Alaska may be a nice choice since getting it at a later time is probably not going to be easy to find etc. Also having one of 1970 pieces worldwide does have some allure. What do you guys think of the prices? I can probably even save the tax by paying cash...
