H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Collection Launched With Zero Gravity Experience
There can be little doubt that Heinrich Moser never foresaw the conditions under which the descendants of his first timepieces would be tested 187 years after the foundation of the company in 1828. Based in Neuhausen, Switzerland, H. Moser & Cie. manufactures hairsprings and regulating organs, which feature in their 8 in-house calibres as well as the wares of their partner companies. Despite having just 50 employees, the company is no stranger to world-firsts. Last month, on September 22nd, H. Moser & Cie. took part in the first Swiss parabolic flight. With the assistance and expertise of the Swiss Air Force, the performance of watch components featured in the newly released H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer collection were tested in a weightless environment. The flight was made possible by Witschi Electronics and in-flight support from engineer Johannes Mayr.In order to achieve weightlessness and experience a zero-gravity environment, a fixed wing aircraft follows an elliptic flight
Dark side of the moon strap
Any DSOTM owners out there with different straps than the factory? I would love to see with a black croc and red stitching but the 21mm does not seem to be a common size...
So I like the new Pepsi gmt so much...
I called three local ad's. First one told me it's an 8 year wait. Hahahahahah hahahahahah hahahahahah hahahahahah Second one said he thinks watch is coming out for sale end of summer and I'm number 5 on the list. Not bad I guess. Third one said watch is also due out end of summer early fall and I got on that list to. I will just have to wait and see how it goes but in pictures I love the watch and the bracelet.
So you own a Daytona
Given the popularity of the Rolex Daytona, I'm curious as to how you came about owning this watch. For example: were you on an AD's waiting list for this watch? Did you have a customer relationship with the AD? How long did you have to wait until you were able to purchase the watch given that the AD did not have one in stock? Did you purchase the watch from a gray market at premium price? Was this your first Rolex watch? Thank you, in advance, for your input. I'm on a waiting list at my local AD and have purchased four Rolex watches and a Breitling watch from this AD in the past two years. I've been on their waiting list since last July.
Advice for picking an "engagement watch"
First off, I just want to say thank you to this forum. I just found it a few days ago, and I have read many threads and feel like I've learned a lot! I would like to buy my boyfriend a watch as an engagement gift. He is new to luxury watches, as am I, though I would love a rose gold Lady DJ. We've looked at some online as well as in a store, and tried some on. The ones we liked the most were:Blue sky dwellerBlue date just 41, diamond indices, jubilee bandTwo-tone Daytona with a white face.He really liked the date just, but I'm afraid the diamonds might make it too dressy for everyday wear. He travels for work, so he would use the 2nd time zone on the sky dweller on most days. The Daytona he liked because he likes things to mess with, and it had lots of action to indulge his ADD. I want to make sure I get him something he can wear on most days, knowing it's more likely to be an heirloom than something resold as an investment. Any men here wear diamonds daily? Any advice on getting a new
