Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Regulateur Roue Carree Watch
I am talking about this watch because people are going to notice it and wonder, "what is going on here?" Well nothing really fancy to be honest, aside from some engineering gear fun. While the concept of a clover and square shaped gear might be odd, it works. You can see in the video exactly how if you aren't too mechanically minded. Maurice Lacroix talks about the watch as though they just invented a time machine - but luxury brands are all about hyperbole, so I can forgive them (to an extent). Ahem, have a listen: "Maurice Lacroix has chosen its flagship Masterpiece line to open a new dimension in watchmaking" (I giggle and snicker). "This is a response to the brand's ambition to take design and the mastery of watchmaking even further." WowOK Maurice Lacroix all this for a few gears? I mean the watch is neat looking, but it doesn't really offer a dynamic change to the game.Movement is a Maurice Lacroix made ML 153 manually wound movement which is in-house made. It has 48 hours of pow
Thinking of getting my first AP.. 15400?
Im really loving the 15400 silver dial. i thought it would look big on my wrist but i tried it out and think it fits nicely. Im 6'4 220...Dealer quoted me at $12,800. How does it look?
Is the new Rootbeer really a Rootbeer
Is the new Root-beer in its current form of RG Rolesor and RG with Black/Brown bezel really a Root-beer?If Rolex were to add a YG GMT Master with yellow GMT hand, yellow GMT Master font and a chocolate sunburst dial, I'd think this is more of a traditionally styled Root-beer. Perhaps an all brown bezel.I'm usually against nicknames, but I'd argue the new GMT Master in RG and RG Rolesor is more deserving of another Soda nickname, Birch-beer But that's just me. Thoughts?
Wow - Today's Sotheby's Auction - Hulk went for $13,750!
I forgot how I found out (ah, checked my browser, banner ad from Chrono24), but a few days ago I had seen a link for a Hulk slated for auction at Sotheby's. I was dreaming that it might be a secret and a good deal. Pffft! ha. funny. The auction was today, a whole bunch of watches -- Hublot, AP, PP, and Rolex. Was interesting to peek in on it from my cell phone.Seemed like there were some pretty good deals here and there. Thought I'd mention the 116610LV, a G series from 2010 only with box went for $13,750 with the hammer premium! I think I'm missing something though -- did this one have some provenance to it??<--it must have, I didn't log in so I couldn't see the history / condition report. Anyone care to clarify here?.sothebys/en/auctions/...7/lot.871.htmlYeah, and to add some icing on the cake, for all of us non-Hulkster but circling in the waters for one -- 2 years ago same auction one went for $6750. .sothebys/en/search-re...yword=116610LVI think this was a decent deal - $5250 fo
Rolex Submariner 14060 P Serial PRICE CHECK
I already own a 16610 Sub Date and looking to add a no date Submariner. I came across a Submariner 14060 “P” serial two liner. It’s for the head only. No matter, because I wanted to use Everest straps anyways. History is unknown. Service is unknown. No box or paperwork. I’d say the case is a 6-7 shape and insert has a few marks. Asking is 3,800, but I think that’s way too high. Am I wrong? Gut says walk away unless the price is in the 2K range.
