Visiting The Blancpain Haute Horology Watch Manufacture
Blancpain is one of the oldest Swiss watch brands but it was on the verge of death before being taken over by Jean-Claude Biver. This was of course before Biver's purchase of Hublot, and before Blancpain he was at Omega. Biver is said to have pretty much saved Blancpain (just as he did with Hublot) C a good thing because today, despite the brand's literal English translation of white bread, very few boring things are going on inside the manufacture.Biver sold Blancpain to the Swatch Group a few years ago. Bye Bye Panerai... Hello Diver!
Loving it thus far...
Watch Winder recommendations?
Any watch winder recommendations for a ROC? I have Orbita Spartas for my 2 Rolexs. I'm not too concerned with case or looks, since I'll probably put it inside a drawer or safe. Just want to get a good 2nd home for my baby. While I'd spend $$$ if it's really worth it for the longevity of the watch (since I sometimes don't get to wear it for a several day stretch), I'd rather not break the bank too badly. Thanks in advance.
