Perrelet Watch Event August 29-30 At Lussori In Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA
You loved the Perrelet Turbine watch collection. It was not only a popular watch to look at, many of you enjoyed it. Will it will finally be available starting this weekend at a special Perrelet watch event that will be held at the Lussori luxury watch store on Carmel-By-The-Sea, California (August 29-30). In addition to the Turbine watch, there will be other interesting Perrelet timepieces that will amuse and delight (and possibly lead to a new purchase). Among the crowd will be Virginie Perrelet, who is related to the great Abraham-Louis Perrelet of "way back when." Please don't pester her with questions about what Abraham-Louis was like. The event will be at Lussori over the two day period from 11am to 5pm. In addition to Perrelet watches, they have an very impressive list of many hard to find luxury watch brands. If you are in the Monterey, CA area and can make it out, I recommend it for a enjoyable time.
Pre Basel 2008 - Clerc Hydroscaph GMT Diver 1000m, Diving Just Got A Whole Lot More Extreme!
There are divers watches and then there are?DIVERS watches! The new Hydroscaph GMT Diver 1000m from Clerc is the kind of watch you would wear if you could go base jumping underwater. To say it is extreme is an understatement, this watch is 100% in your face and to be honest...I love it! The unsual lines and curves coupled with the stunning dial all come together to present a truly excellent example of advanced watch design.?Having said that, however, one of the things that really impresses me about this watch is that despite the fact it has been designed to stand out, Clerc has not sacrificed functionality for form. Thanks to a helium valve (pictured on the reverse side of the watch), which is adjusted by a rotating bezel and unique in its genre, this sumptuous timepiece is water-resistant to 1000 metres. It also features a power-reserve indicator and a?world-first system for adjusting it to the wrist. The specifications on this extreme piece are equally as impressive and further re-enf
Today the Montblanc has the patent and the timing of Nicolas Rieussec movement
There are about two hundred years inventor Nicolas Rieussec attempted to develop a timing system which records the exact times managed by horses, building a case in wood with a clock movement leaving ink on two rotary dials to measure time. RIEUSSEC used his machine to an event organized in 1821, each record horse with finish time precision of a quarter of a second of horse racing. Taking the Greek word for time. Chronos; and graphien; to write; Nicolas Rieussec invented the first chronograph. Today the Montblanc has the patent and the timing of Nicolas Rieussec movement, making their relationship with the Breeders' Cup a natural.

I've been thinking about getting my first Patek. Since I already have several other 3 hand watches as well as an Explorer II & GMTIIC, the 5167, a great watch by the way, would not be different enough for me. I very much like the moon phase & small seconds complication as well as the very thin case and alligator strap with fold over clasp. For those of you who own or have owned this watch, what are your likes and dislikes?
GMT-Master II or Explorer II
Looking for an opinion on my next and second Rolex. I currently have a 114060 (SubC No Date). I'm torn between the 116710BLNR (Batman) or 216570 (Polar). What say you?
