Attention Citizen Campanola Fans: Excellent Price For Accessorized Tonneau Perpetual Calandar Watch
Here is one of those very classy Citizen Campanola watches that I would love to own. This is a model number AG6210-03E, sporting a curvy tonneau case, and a full perpetual calendar laid out in avant garde Campanola fashion. Like all excellent Citizen Campanola watches, this represents the best Japanese watch company Citizen has to offer in these hand decorated and handmade watches. I've discussed these watches at length, and you can read my many thoughts on them in these articles.Aside from the meticulously polished case and attractive face, the features in this Campanola are useful. This version focuses on the calendar providing the month, year, date, and date of the week. Further, the calendar is perpetual, meaning it takes into consideration leap years and the different amount of days months have. Lastly, the watch has synchronized 24 hour hand built into the the seconds subdial. Citizen is able to lay out this information in a way with lovely intrigue.I really love the hands on thi
Found: The Patek Philippe Owned By The Founder Of Coca-Cola, And Other Ultra Cool Pateks Now On Exhi
There is, as we've mentioned elsewhere, and as many collectors know, a very long and rich common history between Patek Philippe and Tiffany, which goes all the way back to 1851, as we've explored elsewhere. It's a remarkable history with a remarkable legacy, with Tiffany-signed Patek Philippes forming a significant group of watches and often commanding a premium at auction over non-Tiffany signed models, thanks to their relative rarity. Patek Philippe and Tiffany have just opened a remarkable exhibit: a selection of unusual and in some cases unique Patek Philippe watches and pocket watches, from the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva. They will be on show at the Tiffany flagship in New York for the next six months or so, and are a must-see for pretty much anyone interested in horology – it's exceedingly unusual for Patek museum collection timepieces to be seen anywhere outside the Patek Philippe Museum. A great pair
I think they make a fantastic pair. For anyone deciding between the two; here you go
IWC or AP
If you have the choice between an AP Millenary 4101 and IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Watch which one will you pick?
Spoke with my favorite dealer on the phone and . . .
he had some interesting info for me.As has been reported, Omega is increasing the MSRP of the Speedmaster Professional line of watches. This will be in the range of $500-$600 to cover the cost of the new box and goodies:Always thinking ahead, my dealer has greatly increased his inventory of Speedy Pros in their various flavors. These he will make available at the current MSRP but when they are gone, there will be no more.Don't know about you but I wear the watch and not the box. No way I am going to spend that kind of money on packaging. I've even put a couple of my special Omega boxes (one mahogany and one leather) on the market. They were just taking up space in the closet. He also mentioned that he still had a few of the Gen I, cal 2500 Planet Oceans in stock. I am now awaiting arrival of my BNIB, 42mm, cal. 2500D, Planet Ocean. (It may become a safe queen.)
