Three grails....interesting comparison
Before starting my post, I was hesitated which forum to post it on, but I decided here because most members here have experienced all or some of the watches that I am going to talk about. Three watches I absolutely adore, I wish funds allow me to add them all in the future. But for now I could only think and plan for one. I am not a fan of yellow metals hence the choices here. The watches have almost nothing in common. The only reason to have them in the same post is the price. 2nd Patek on its way
After being away from all the forums for best part of 2014 I've just decided on my 2nd patek ( first was a 5167 last summer ).... incoming annual calender on its way :-)
Looking for thoughts on this payment schedule
So I have money saved up for either a GMT II 2 tone or DSSD...just have to pick which one. But before the price increase I started looking at a 2nd watch. My Panerai AD told me something interesting. If I purchase a Panerai (looking at the 514) at full retail, they can finance interest free for 20 months. Or....they can provide 10% off with interest free financing for 10 months. Looking at the forums, a used 514 typically comes in around $6k USD. I don't know how long it will take our dollar to rebound. Right now, to buy a $6k watch in the US would cost around $7.4 CDN...ouch. Might as well buy new. Any thoughts?
