Breguet has announced that the largest exhibition of Breguet antique timepieces will open at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Breguet: Art and Innovation in Watchmaking will open on September 19, 2015, and will run until January 10, 2016. 1 OF 4 This is the first-ever retrospective of the work of Abraham-Louis Breguet and the exhibition will consist of more than 70 pocket watches, clocks, and horological instruments. Proud to share some better shots of my new baby! The 3970 is a classic Patek piece that was produced from 1986 to 2004, and with its case size of 36mm I felt like it was perfect for my 6.25 wrist. In fact, I think it's so perfect for me that, well, I already have one in yellow gold (see this thread: .rolexforums/showthread.php?t=281994).Still, I tend to buy in twos just because I have this fantasy that I'll be leaving behind my watches as heirlooms to my two daughters. What should follow a 3970J? Well, I decided that it should, very fittingly, be a 3970 in platinum.
