Sinn 900 Pilot S Chronograph Watch
Die Fliegeruhr 900 FLIEGER S! Der gro??e Fliegerchronograph! This new tool watch from German brand Sinn is a handsome looker, and saying "screw you!" (in German) to fashion watches. This pilot style watch is a compliment to similar dive chronograph watches from Sinn. Such as the? U1000. While the 900 Pilot is no longer brand spanking new, the 900 Pilot S, which is in black, is new. See my previous article on the Sinn 900 Pilot watch here.I love the hard industrial feel of the watch. The pure dedication to function and durability that still ends up looking nice. Sort of makes sense that Sinn made a limited edition watch for Hummer right? Does the addition of a PVD coated black on the watch make it fundamentally different from the non PVD version? Not really, but the look of an all black sports watch is a force to be reckoned with. Both models feature hard tegimented steel,? and 44mm wide cases that are 200 meters water resistant and have massive endurance against magnetic fields and sho
MB&F HM4 Thunderbolt Watch Revealed
If you have ever wondered what a MB&F aviator watch might look like, then this is your answer. In fact, the actual dial of the brand spankin' new Horological Machine Number 4 (HM4) "Thunderbolt" watch is a done with a classic aviator style design. I love how MB&F presented this little homage to all those aviator classic with the MB&F twist, including the font used for the numerals and the hands. Like all Horological Machines before it, the point of the watch isn't primarily to tell time, but to celebrate being a machine, a machine that tells the time. I first covered the HM4 here on Luxistwatches-dealer when all MB&F allowed me to show was the movement (see the galley images there for live shots of the movement).According to MB&F, the main inspiration behind the Thunderbolt watch is the A-10 plane - though lots of people speculated about it being something more Sci-Fi in origin. Actually, 'Thunderbolt' is just one of the plane's names and nickname, but it is the off
Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster Orbital Watch
"The Amortiser" sounds like a banking industry themed super villain. But here it is a cool piece of functionality that you won't find on other watches in this price range. New from Ball watches is the Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster Orbital watch, a mouthful of a name, but suitable for a chunky timepiece with this much functionality. I got my hands on this watch, which should be available close to the time you read this.Ball fitted the Spacemaster Orbital (what I will call it for short) with ETA's newer Valjoux 7754. Newer, as in released in 2003 (or so), which is fresh from the egg compared to some other movements we know and love that have been used since the 1970s. The 7754 automatic is based on the famed 7750, but adds a GMT complication to the mix. Even so, it still has a power reserve of about 46 hours. Not sure why we don't see these used in more watches - perhaps they are very expensive or hard to get from ETA.The watch is big at 45mm wide, but in titanium so it doesn't feel t

slotted spring bars in place of lug screws
I notice that Micah has interesting springs bars intended to replace lug screws. I am thinking of picking these up for my 372 to make strap changes easier and reduce the chance of messing up the lugs with an errant slip of a screw driver. Anyone using these now?
