Glashtte Original Creates Unique Senator Chronometer for Only Watch
Glashtte Original has created this “1 of 1” Senator Chronometer for Only Watch 2011. The 18k red gold case is perfectly sized at 42mm. On tap are panorama date, day/night indication, and a stop-seconds feature with innovative minute detent. Of course the case houses a 58-jewel certified chronometer movement visible through a sapphire case back. Find the wish price and wallpaper inside. The dial is matte black and silver with radial Roman numerals, an outer minute track for precise time display, and a power-reserve display below 12. The “1/1” unique piece status appears on the dial next to the date. The hands are red gold. The watch case bears a special Only Watch engraved inscription, and the watch is accompanied by a unique wood case created as a tribute to marine chronometer housings of the past, and a special certificate. The wish price for this piece is 30,000 – 50,000 euros. The Only Watch 2011 charity auction will take place on September 23 during the
Bell & Ross Watch Novelties At Baselworld 2009
You can typically rely on Bell & Ross for nice, but predictable watches. This is still true, but this year at Baselworld the iconic French watch brand showed off a few new watches that you aren't likely to see in stores anytime soon (but others will be in store in no time at all). These are sometimes called novelty watches, which are one offs that a brand makes. Other times they are sold in limit edition quantities at select retailers. I am still not sure what the future for these watches is, but they are at least enjoyable to look at. If they are not to be sold, it is entirely possible that they will be design influences in future Bell & Ross watches that we eventually will see in retailers. So expect to see at least a few of these commercially available soon.Let's start with my favorite, the Carbon Fiber Bell & Ross BR01 Pro Combat models. Actually, it is not the carbon fiber that I like at all, but the evolving look of the design. The three hand date model is my choice.

Few questions to ask, thank you in advance
Rolex newbie here, but quite an Omega guy though.I have a budget of 4 - 4,5 K GBP for a first Rolex. I really like the look of Explorer 16570, so plenty of choices there, with or without papers. So far, so good. Even you can get it on a 12 months lease when buying from Goldsmiths or Watchfinder, no matter that they sell them really expensive, but with piece of mind as providing 12-24 months of warranty and full service before supplying the watch.I was thinking...well, to be honest, the bracelet of these Explorers 2 is not the greatest,I know it`s comfortably probably most of you will say, but majority of the watches are with folded end links. Even the ones with the SELs, they still have the cheap looking and feeling flimsy , Tissot thin buckle ,which I personally more likely don't appreciate at all. And this brings me to the core of my emotional battle with myself , particularly part 1 - why I just don't pay like 300-400 more and get a brand new Explorer 214270 with lumed indices and l
Band too small.. Dad lost links ( bark )
Hi there, I was hoping someone here could give me some advice regarding the Rolex he gave me... It is a Oyster Perpetual Rolex with the bark dial and middle links. Unfortunately he lost the links he removed and it is very tight. Before I go to the local jeweler who is Rolex authorized and order some replacements, I thought I would check to see if anyone had suggestions. I would rather not pay $500 to $1000 per link, but not sure what to else do. Was wondering if any aftermarket links would be ok. I found a few that said they were 18kt gold solid and not hollow. but for $270, I don't think that would be 18kt? I don't care too much if they are non Rolex...and I am not planing to sell it. Input appreciated. Dave
