Chronograph Guide
The allure of mechanical chronographs is easy to pin down. ?Tiny little mechanisms, powered by springs, engage and disengage at the press of a button to time events, measure speed, distance or even heart rate. On the surface, the action of a chronograph is simple and often useful. Underneath, the movements that power these functions are very complex and often very beautiful. As with most things that are complex, mechanical chronographs tend to cost more than standard 3-hand watches. And if you are going to spend more, you should know a bit about what is out there. Chances are if you went into your local watch store, any mechanical chronograph under $2,000 would have the Valjoux 7750 movement in it. While ubiquitous, it's not the only thing out there and there are different variations on it.So, we decided to create a guide of affordable mechanical chronographs, with an emphasis on showing different brands and movements, many of which are available on-line only.?1. Las Vegas AD
Esteemed Gents,I'm looking to purchase my first AP, 15400 in particular. Since there are no AD's here in AZ (that I know of) the next stop would be Vegas. Does anyone have any experience with either of them? I'll be there next weekend so any advice you can give is appreciated.Jorge
Is 32500 a good price for a used ROO 44 rg?
Mint condition, but no box or papers. It's been a grail watch for a while now, and I have an opportunity to snag a 2015/16 ROO 44mm RG at 32500. I can also get a brand new, new dial version w/ box and papers for 38500. What do you guys think?

New arrival of a old daytona 116520
I am fortunate to find a used 116520 fullset with a reasonable price. I am trying to find the early year of black 116520 due to the following: 1.thin hands,2.the sub-dial rings are actually thinner than the newer model as well to fit the thin hands like 16520,3.more like a grey color less reflective sub dial rings instead of the colorful one in later 116520,4.the silver hour markers are more flat and not as reflective as the newer models, 5.the words and minute markers are super bold and serif, this makes a big contrast to the black dial. Overall makes this early 2003 more old school. My rolex daytona 116520 by T C, 於 FlickrMy rolex daytona 116520 by T C, 於 FlickrHere is my collection so far My watch collection by T C, 於 FlickrThanks for the looking.
