Royal Oak Chronograph query
Morning guys, I am just starting looking at the Royal Oak Chronographs and I have a question which I have been unable to find thus far.It is with regard to the dial printing specifically the 41mm models. Are the second markers round the perimeter printed directly to the dial? From close ups I have seen this seems to be the case, but does the 3D nature of the dial have an affect on the printing or have AP allowed for this. From what I have seen the earlier 39mm models have a flat ring round the edge onto which it is printed. Maybe its me being stupid, but for once I am researching them properly before buying one. Cheers for any help
New shoes for my old Speedy . . .
I love curved end straps and the OEM Omega fold-over deployant is the only clasp for me.After cutting the keepers off of Hirsch Leonardo straps to use the Omega deployant, I was pleased to see Hirsch introduce a Heavy Calf LE with removable keepers. I ordered one immediately but the first one was lost in the mail. Gary at WatchObsession sent me a replacement that arrived a couple of weeks ago,Admittedly, I wasn't too pleased with it upon arrival. The brown was not the gold-brown of the original Medici but after a couple of weeks of daily oiling, the color is getting deeper and richer. The curved ends seem to fit better than the Medici and Omega deployant works great:
My new 5930G
So, I ordered this watch the day it was released at Basel. She just arrived. I was a bit concerned about having two Patek world timers but they are quite a bit different.I really like it a lot. I wouldn't mind it being a little bigger but that's just me.I'm even wearing it today!! Not sitting in the box!!Patek really does blue well!Pix in a second
Need trade advise ASAP please!
Dear all!Posted the same in the rolex section...In my current collection I have two PP and one Jaeger. The PPs are one 5711 white dial and a 5712. The Jaeger is master grand reveil perpetual calendar in steel. I would like to add som gold to my collection and are thinking of adding a dd II in YG (218238. The question is shall I flip the 5711 and go for the ddII? Should also add that I get a really good discount on the dd II sowe are talking aprox 2000-3000 usd that I have to pay extra to get the rolex. Am I stupid trading the 5711? Is the PP a better investment from a value perspective than the ddII? Both watches sing to me but I kind of think that having two PPs are a single minded but they come across very diffrent. Cheers
