Hands-On: Zenith Launches A Suite Of Three New High Complications In New Materials (Including A Platinum Hurricane)
Zenith has just announced that three of its most complicated watches, which premiered this year in new case materials, are now available – and we had a chance recently to go hands-on with the new models, and gather some first impressions of these very exotic and very rarely seen timepieces. The new models are a limited edition platinum version of the Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Georges-Favret Jacot, and titanium versions of the Academy Georges Favret-Jacot (with fusée and chain) and the El Primero Tourbillon. 1 OF 12 Above, Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Georges Favret-Jacot in platinum The Academy Georges Favret-Jacot was launched, as we reported last year, for the firm’s 150th anniversary and is named for Zenith’s founder, Georges Favret-Jacot, who founded the firm in Le Locle in 1865 at the age of 22. What's a good ballpark price to target for a new Ti44? Grey market is fine. Thanks.
New PO 43.5mm Orange Rubber Bezel
I haven't seen much owners sharing this watch. Is it unpopular?Just wondering how does it wear? The previous models wear really tall and i couldn't handle it.Any owners her can share experiences. The titanium grey dial is looking really cool.
Black Ceramic vs Orange 8500 Planet Ocean
Hi Everyone,I'm planning on my next watch in the next few weeks. I had the 2500 PO orange before and sold it to help with acquiring my DJII. I miss the orange bezel it really popped. I have a GMTIIc and a DJII TT slate. I love both the black and orange 8500 versions. I love the look of the orange more but worry about getting sick of it down the road or not looking as good in comparison to ceramic in the future. What about being able to acquire orange replacement bezels in the future, will it still be available?? Can I switch the orange to black if I paid omega to do it? What are people's thoughts on this? I know I should pick up a watch with my heart but I also want to make the best decision. I love the black with orange markers but only a tiny less than the orange version. Thank you everyone.
