Should or Shouldn't?
Hi guys. Happy holiday! I have been looking for this AP quite a while and recently found one with excellent condition. This can be the last of the year, should I go for it and what you guys think.Nothing can say about this discontinued model, perfect in every corner. Thank you uploadfromtaptalk1450998215340.jpg
Question to other Canadians
I am purchasing a Speedy in the US, am I better to have it shipped to Canada and pay the taxes (13 per cent) plus possible brokerage fees or bring it home with me and get the $800 duty free allowance, however I will have to pay the state sales tax (7per cent) I think it is likely a wash either way. I could just no declare it, but how do I explain the box and other papers. I am not comfortable at being a smuggler it not just not in me, besides I would hate the fine and being on their watch list forever. Any thoughts!
Dress watch but which one?
After my last two threats and the advise given.I have decided to concentrate on a more modern Patek Philippe. My every day watch is a Rolex SDc and I would like to compliment that with a dress watch. My criteria is fairly flexible :34-37mmManual or AutomaticDate or no dateYellow or Rose GoldNo Hobnail bezel or Roman NumeralsCurrently, I have looked at:Brand new from dealer 5196JPre owned from same dealer and with a recent Patek service a 5030JPrivate seller a 3998J with B&P's Patek service 3 years ago Or something else?Budget is around 12,500
Red/Blue color of Pepsi is perfect !
...As far as Rolex is concerned.I read everyone questioning (moaning) about the off color of the new s/s Pepsi (and the WG one as well). Has anyone stopped long enough to consider that maybe, just maaabybe, that this might be exactly the colors Rolex want to put out. I for one think so. Rolex isn't going to say, Well boys, its not exaclty what we were aiming for, but gosh darn it, its pretty damn close. Lets roll it out! Not only for the WG, but a second time with the s/s. They had since 2014 to get the colors right. The fact that the color is exactly the same tells me that are happy with the tone of the color and is exactly what they want. Some may not like it, but i believe this is what Rolex was trying to achieve. And as far as they are concerned, they nailed it. Ceramic and aluminum are two different material and will not produce the exact same color. Ever. Im not a lover of the ceramic pepsi, nor am I a hater. I just don't think Rolex is regretting the colors.
Submariner
Is it pronounced subMARiner or submaRINer
