AP 15400 Blue pics requested
Thinking of this to replace my 116334 blue roman rolexthoughts, pictures? I would love to get a sense of the dial. Is it really dark, really light? I like lighter dials I thinkThanks all!
Aqua Terra 2812 & 2503 people chime in!
Google lead me to this site a few days ago and I've read a bunch of threads since. I was wondering if more AT enthusiasts would put up real life pictures of their watches in different leather strap combinations.I went to an AD a few days ago and saw the 2812.30 (white dial/blue markers & hands/brown leather strap) in person - and was blown away by it. The only things holding me back are price (may get the 2503 instead) and the neutrality of the brown leather strap - most of my suits are black/navy/charcoal and I'm a little concerned they may clash with a watch I'll hopefully be wearing every day at work.I've also seen a couple variations here on the ATs usually found online, and they looked really good - for instance, someone posted a pic of a white dial/blue marker AT 2503, but it had a black or dark blue thick-ish leather strap, not the usual SS bracelet. I can't seem to find that post at the moment, but I'm curious what other color/strap variations have worked well in real life
Speedy on a 2 piece Zulu?
I have been fighting the Speedy urge for some time now and weakness is getting to me. I tried one on yesterday and can't help but think it must be my next watch, whenever that is. The thing is, I really want something that I don't have to wear with a bracelet, and I prefer zulu's or nato's to leather straps. I was just wondering if anyone has a pic. of a speedy on a 2 piece Zulu, the reason behind the 2 piece is that I love the clear case back and would not want to cover it up. Thanks in advance.
Trade or not trade......
I am getting that little itch again to buy something different so I am looking for some input on a decision I'm trying to make. I m thinking about trading my TT GMT Master II plus some cash for a close to new pre-owned TT Daytona with the Panda Dial. I seem to be drawn to that Panda dial. My GMT is a P serial number that I have had since about 2003. I own some SS pieces and just want to keep a TT in the stable. Would be interested in hearing some opinions on trading or just keeping what I own?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sub like new
I finally got my Submariner back from the AD in Englewood, Colorado. I have to say that it shines like a new watch although I originally bought it in the Base Exchange in the early - mid 70's. I paid about $175.00 for it because it was a return and didn't have any box or papers. I plan to gift it to my step son in a week or so because he is the kind of man you hope your daughter will bring home from college .To complete the deal I would like to tell him the vintage of the piece and I'm hoping someone here could close the loop for me so I can tell him some of the history of it:model: 5513ser. no:6128020I served in Southern Command from mid-1970 through late 1975 and I think I bought the watch early 1970's.Thank you.Jerry Crawford.
