Introducing: The Frederique Constant Manufacture Perpetual Calendar, A Full Perpetual Calendar Under $10,000
If we had to pick one trend that seems to most characterize Baselworld 2016, it'd probably be the pursuit of better value for consumers – or at least, the attempt to create for consumers the impression that watches can offer better value, relative to the competition. One of the most notable manifestations of this direction was the Manufacture Perpetual Calendar – a full perpetual calendar, developed and made in-house, by Frederique Constant, which will cost under CHF 10,000 at launch. In fact, the starting price is just CHF 8,350. 1 OF 7 As hard as it may be to believe, this is a full perpetual calendar, automatic, made in-house. Frederique Constant's stock in trade has always been affordable luxury, and while over the last decade the overwhelming majority of luxury watch brands have incrementally increased pricing to the point where may potential clients for fine watchmaking have simply been largely priced out of the game, Frederique Constant has kept
Scratched my Royal Oak itch at last!
Really happy! Joined the AP club! Picked up a one year old AP 15400st white dial today for 10500! Full box and papers with AD stamp. No wrist shot though, have it straight to watch finder to have the bracelet polished as there were a few light scratches. Back with me in 3 days.
Watches and people who don't understand
I'd post this under general Rolex discussion but I feel that the Audemars section people are more my family than them, so I thought I'd get your opinion on it.Recently I've taken to Tumblr as other forms of social media kind of bore me. Anyways I wrote a post, if you guys have a minute I'd love some feedback and opinion on what happened to a friend of mine at a party regarding the watch on his wrist. Have you experienced any negative discussions or attacks based on what's on your wrist?tmblr.co/ZwzV5yPxpDLCThanks! Sent from my iPad 3 using Tapatalk

Can't hand-wind new BLNR
I'd been wearing my BLNR for a couple of months now, except on weekends. I recently sold and then re-bought a 116610LV, so I've worn that for two weeks. I grabbed my BLNR this morning, and when I went to wind it, the crown just spins without actually winding the spring. Meaning, I unscrew it, it pops out to the first position, and then if you turn it there is no tick tick tick while it's winding, it just spins. I can pull it out to 2 and 3 to set the time/date/etc., but no matter how many times I push it back, it won't wind. It's just been sitting in its box on my desk for two weeks. Is there some reason it should have gotten like this? I hate to send it in for service when it's only 3 months old. Never had this happen before.
