A Private Night with AP
It might be long overdue, but how can I not share my experience of a wonderful night with AP which opened my eyes to some of the most exquisite complications from my favorite watch house? On 19 Nov 2014, AP Singapore hosted a private dinner at Morton's, one of the best steakhouses, and showcased an array of complicated watches from the antique to the most avant-garde. Sebastian Vivas, the Museum Director from Le Brassus, was flew in specially to share his knowledge on some of AP's most important timepieces as well as the latest high complications.?Antonio introducing SebastianAs usual, key members from the AP family: Oliviero, Antonio, Bindy, Stefanie and Jeremie were ever so hospitable as they chatted heartily with the invited guests and AP enthusiasts amidst the delicious food and wines. In between courses, Sebastian would 'pop up' for a few minutes of presentations, then followed by trays of beautiful watches being dished out for admiration. The up-close experience with these highly
Ceramic Diver Photo Follow Up and Review
A few days ago I posted an incoming for my new Ceramic version of the Diver I picked up in Tokyo. I had some requests there for some more pictures and some thoughts on the piece, so I thought I'd follow up. Also, for a more professional and in depth review, please check out our very own Submarino's review here of this very watch. If you haven't yet visited his site, you're blowing it, because he covers a wide array of watches and his writing style is fantastic. (His review definitely got me thinking of this watch)This is my third Diver and although you may think I'm crazy, I can somewhat justify wanting a Diver in yet another flavor. Although I have since sold my Stainless Steel Diver (I sometimes miss it...) I definitely found way more daily use and wear out of my Forged Carbon version and believe that this Ceramic version too will see a lot of wrist time. Orange is a cool color. I can see that maybe for more conservative tastes it might be a bit much, but unlike the Volcano/Lava it'
ROO Schwarzenegger opinions
Hi guysI was pretty set to go for 15202 in yellow gold but tried a steel version and even with the extra weight I will get with Gold just doesnt have the size I would like from this purchase, I have almost 8 wrist and specifically want yellow gold.So I have decided to move up to ROO, I currently have the Panda which I love and wears perfect so considering the schwarzenegger and would be appreciative of some feedback on the following questions.1. Production I beleive was 2004, without finding a watch that has written proof of servicing, what should I allow for?2. There seems to be quite a few for a LE available, was this piece not overly popular?3. Does anyone have wrist shots and/or close ups IRL?4. Thoughts on brown dial, hard to tell from the photos I have been able to find.Understand thats a lot of questions so very grateful for any feedback.Cheers Mark
Vintage Omega Question??
Hello,Can anyone tell me if they are familiar with a company called 'E Gluck Trading Co'?At some point in the Omega timeline did this company produce parts for some of the Omega watch range?I've opened the back of a really old Omega I've been given and it states that name in the mechanism? Thanks in advance.
Easter Bunny Delivery.
After a short wait (compared to my previous PP), finally got to unbox this today. I will do a proper photo thread soon. It is absolutely stunning and the dial is mesmerising.
