Any Update on Breitling Sale
Hi all, at the end of November 2016 there were a few business articles that Breitling was entertaining offers for sale. Haven't seen any updates since. Anyone here heard anything?Cheers.
Incoming, a deviation
In an effort to help a friend score his first Rolex I sold him my 216570 Polar..at something of a deal. So, I decided to pocket a bit and pick up a non-Rolex, whitey. I'm really pretty stoked about this piece. It's really nice. Pay attention to the color variation in the bezel, we will be discussing this later when my BLRO shows up. Thanks all.E-IMG_5403.JPGIMG_5404.JPGIMG_5405.JPG
Just got my first Omega today! WOW!!
Just got my first Omega today. It's the Speedy Pro. 3570. This is my first high end time piece so it's quite a lot to take in. Not being from a wealthy background, it's quite a feeling of accomplishment to know I can afford something this nice. Shots to follow but just let me soak it in.Thank you to the users in a previous thread that steered me toward the 3570 vs the 50th patch.Special thanks to Fr. John for getting me in touch with his AD. Easiest transaction possible and fabulous service. Thanks!!
Which pair do you consider more redundant?
This is what I have at the moment:I'm lazy and don't rotate much so I'm thinking of downsizing some more and keeping just four watches. The Lange is rarely used but it's the dress watch, the Speedy is the beater, so that leaves the other three on the chopping block. The AP is my daily driver and on the weekends I usually go for the PP, so fhe Sub is pretty much a goner. Now for the actual question, I've been offered a BNIB 5711 white dial for list price and I'm really considering it, the thing is do I use the AP to fund it or the 5167?Part of me thinks that both PP's are pretty similar in shape (same movement of course) but another feels that having the 5711 and the AP is redundant both being on a steel bracelet. What do you think?I know, go with what sings to you, follow your gut... I will, but I'm interested in your opinions.
Is this rust on my 2017 Submariner?
A few days ago I noticed what seems to be a rusty coloured mark under the clasp of my bluesy. I tried to get rid of it with various cleaning products but with no success. I'm thinking 904L steel is virtually impossible to rust, let alone on a watch that is only 8 weeks old, so what on earth could this be? and how do I get rid of it? This sub is my only watch, I wear it 24/7. , sleep and shower with it on, work with it on, (hence why the gold is already looking beat up after only 8 weeks ) It's hard to describe, but in my job I wear air tight sleeves over my arms, so the watch is in an environment which contains a very high level of humidity and sweat, could this be the cause of this? As always your thoughts and help are much appreciated
