Seiko Izul, The Coolest Watch You've Never Heard Of (And Can't Get)
I write this as I am here in Japan spending time with Seiko (though I will post it after my return to the States). So much to talk about, I don't even know where to begin. Well this article is about the Seiko Izul. A watch that I learned about today that I should have heard about a long time ago. This is a damn cool watch. So I was at Seiko's headquarters today and one of the people we met was the nice gentleman who designed the dial of the Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk, a watch many of you are deeply desiring. The good news is that the Spacewalk will be released as a 100 piece limited edition set. The bad news is that it will be $28,000. I digress. Everyone at Seiko was wearing an awesome Seiko watch that I'd not seen before, and he was wearing something that I'd never even seen images of. It had the style of the Spacewalk, but a totally different dial look and case. From a distance I could tell that it was derivative of the Spring Drive Spacewalk, but I thought maybe it was some speci
AP Strap Options
I don't remember where I saw it but it seems like someone said it was possible to order a custom strap directly from AP. Is this possible to do this with the 4101? And if so, how long does it typically take to receive it once you order it? Here are some obligatory pics because every thread needs them
tolerances
I bought a superocean last year and sent it of to the main breitling service centre in the UK for a total overhaul with a new crystal etc,the bill for this work was approx. 540 which I did not object to as their estimate was within the final invoice,it was returned last august and I have had to reset the time on a number of occasions,i set the time 21 days ago and it is now approx. 3 minutes slow to my pc which I set it from, this is approx. 1 minute a week ,is this a acceptable tolerance on a timepiece such as this?? when I bought this watch I was certainly expecting better timekeeping from it! cheers for any thoughts.
Thoughts on Speedy FOIS?
I've been considering purchasing a Speedmaster FOIS to pair with my Explorer. I had been considering a second SS Rolex, but between the upcoming redesigns with newer movements and the skyrocketing prices, it just doesn't make sense for me. Those of you who own one, how do you like this particular Speedy?
Would this work??
I have a Seamaster 2254.50 and I love it.However, I'm considering buying a 20mm Aqua Terra bracelet to fit to my SMP.I assume it will fit to my case?2nd question: would I be able to swap clasps so that the SMP deployment clasp (how awesome is this clasp?!) goes on t the AT bracelet??I do have a quality link pin tool, so the bracelet work is under control, but does anyone know if the links are of comparable sizing??Thanks....I'm kind of new to the modern Omegas....
