Potentially looking pick up my first Breitling
Hi all,I have recently been looking I to adding another watch to my collection.I current have a vintage Rolex Date and an Omega Constellation which I love but both are on metal straps. I have been looking for something with a hide or rubber strap to have something different.I had seen a Hublot MDM which I liked which I put up in another part of the forum but I have came across this Breitling Blackbird.I am well aware that it is late 90s - early 00s however Iwas looking to see if anyone either has this watch or could give me some feedback on it?Any comments either positive or negative would be welcome.
Id like to make an Apology to PP members!!!
For some time now I've been posting some non gentlemen remarks about Patek Philippe on various threads. Even though it was my personal opinion I've posted a little distastefully . I knew about the brand before joining TRF but not really much more other than it was an expensive luxury watch ... To all Patek Philippe owners and enthusiasts I personally give my sincere apologies... I've become more appreciative of the brand being on TRF and who knows maybe one day I may sport a Calatrava as a dress watch ...
to polish or not polish
my new-to-me 16570 Polar Explorer II is at RSC right now. looks like it's never been serviced, and i have a quote for some normal service (movement servicing, new crown, timing, etc.) that includes polishing.i've put the question to them about the engraving (not mine), if that can be removed with a polish or if a new caseback is needed.they're awaiting my approval. my inclination is to not do the polish, but i wanted to get some opinions.i'm linking offsite to hi-res photos. i hope these provide enough clarity, and sorry for my poor photography skills.backbracelet9 sidecrown sidefront
WG Sub Mariner or WG Day-Date II 41 mm Presidential
In the next year I will be looking to purchase a white Gold Sub or 41mm Day-Date II Presidential I love both watches but would like opinions on both watches. I am 50 and looking forward to having a watch I can wear dressed up or casual. WG works for me because I like to stay under the radar. Thanks in advance for all of your opinions......CheersI own a Black Sub/TT Daytona/GMT-II Black Blue/ Omega Seamaster 300/Omega SS Blue face Aqua Terra/ Cartier TT Panther/Breitling Black Steel Code Black
