Questions about Patek deployant buckles
I see some of the older PP5960 come with the chevron buckle and the newer ones with the Calatrava cross. Besides aesthetics was there a reason for the switch? What year did Patek make the switch. Thanks!
Pam 676 inbound...don't be a hater!
By now I've read every opinion about this watch and heard all the griping about the 30m water resistance. This didn't concern me. Its the aesthetics and the size that drove my decision. That and a trusted seller offered it up full kit, AD purchase at 31% off retail...you do the math. I would not have walked into an AD store and paid the $7300 +tax they were asking.Yes I understand the whole History of Panerai and the legacy as a dive watch. Everybody loves showing of their new pristine time pieces. And everyone savors those incoming photos , including myself. Well, here's some pics of what a real world BLNR looks like. I've had this for going on 3years and wear it about 70% of the time switching out between my other watches. I manage apartment buildings that I own but am mostly in the office half the day and don't do much of the hands on maintenance (but not afraid to get my hands dirty). This comes from normal everyday wear and I don't take it off for any manual labor. This is just a lesson for those new watch owners and what expect with normal watch wear. Wear it, enjoy it. Opinions are like wrist watches...everyone's watch shows a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct.
