Breitlings - No Hype?
I love them - but it seems to me everyone only talks about Rolex, Omega's, and hell, even TAG i hear more then brietlings now...The gent i work with has a significant collection and all he can talk about when it comes to brietlings is extra stock and the company (in his opinion) in a little bit of trouble.Thoughts? Why doesn't this brand seem to have the hype of the others? is it maybe just because I'm in Canada?

Omega Speedmaster 50 Christie's Auction
So, I am sure that most of you are aware of the December 15 auction to take place at Christies in NYC (.christies/salelanding...ntSaleID=25971 ). Of course, I fully understand that the die hard fans are worried that this type of sale will keep driving the prices up further, and thus will make more and more of these pieces out of our reach (i.e., the true fans who do not have unlimited means), but this is in my opinion a fact of life resulting from the general public having more and more access to expert information via blogs, forums etc. The people who were lucky enough to buy watches at a bargain price a few years/months ago should just feel that, LUCKY, and newcomers like myself will just keep hoping that the prices will remain reasonable for a bit longer and that true fans and enthusiasts will be able to enjoy nice pieces not only because they can simply afford them, but because they enjoy them for what they represent in terms of history and mechanical prowess in watchmaking. Omega PO Bracelet Swap? Bezel too?
Hi all,New to the forum and looking for some assistance. I have an Omega PO that has the black rubber band with orange stitching. How difficult is it swap out that band for a ss bracelet? I would like to switch up the style of the watch every once in a while. Is all I need the new bracelet and a $20 link/band tool or pin compression tool?This watch also has the orange bezel. How hard would that be to swap as well? Or is that more for a watchmaker to do, than me?Thanks!
