Oris Begins In-House Watch Movement Production With The Calibre 110
Oris is one our of favorite Swiss watch brands when it comes to offering a durable, useful design in a relatively affordable package. We especially like their sport watches including racing chronographs and of course divers. Until now most people know Oris as a company that sources movements from other Swiss companies to put into their watches. There is nothing wrong with that, but for 2014 OrisClike many others these daysCis beginning to produce watches with their own movements, starting with the Calibre 110.To be fair, this isn't the first movement Oris has produced, though it is the first under the current ownership and modern era of the brand. Oris as a brand was formed in 1904 and from then until 1981 is said to have produced a total of 229 in-house made movement types. In 1982, Oris stopped making full movements but kept on making modules that would got over other movements. In recent years all base movements have been Swiss ETA or Sellita. For 2014 Oris returns to a fully in-ho
Features of luxurious Corum Admiral's Cup Chronograph 40 Diamonds Watch
A luxurious yet strong sport timepiece as Admiral's Cup chronograph Corum 40 diamonds requires a movement that combines refinement with proven performance. To achieve this double virtue, Corum provides this model with a proven Switzerland ETA automatic winding calibre. Relatively relatively thin yet exceptionally reliable in operation, this movement offers a 42 hour power reserve. More chronograph functions and timing, movement in this watch incorporates a date display that provides an easy way of adjustment through the winding Crown. As the assurance of accuracy of the measurement of time, these movements are subject to an agency of the Office of control timer Switzerland (COSC). Here, each movement must undergo and pass the fifteen days of rigorous tests in various positions and temperatures, finally obtaining the desirable "stopwatch" title only when the specific guidelines for the performance are met.
Is this an original?
Hello members,My first post. First of all, thank you to the mods and members of this site to help bring together a great community of WISs.I have just purchased a pre-owned Omega Planet Ocean 42mm 2500 calibre movement. I know it's a little too late ask this now, but wanted your opinion on its authenticity. I have no reason to believe that the watch is not authentic, but it's my first (and hopefully many more to come) big watch purchase and it'd be nice to have your confirmation. What do you guys think? Should I get it checked by an AD for authenticity? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
