Watches tell the time, but they sometimes also tell us history. Filmmaker Benedict Campbell's short film "The Watch & The War" tells the story of Benedict Brucia, an American naval intelligence officer during World War II, and the origin of his very special watch – a 1938 Panerai Radiomir with a Rolex movement. As a young boy, Jim Brucia admired his uncle Ben's curious wristwatch. He ended up inheriting the watch in 1972, but never learned what his uncle did during the War. Deployant and Strap Size Speedy 9300
Newbie here. Did an extensive search, but could not find the answer to this question - is there a specific deployant size that goes with the Speedy 9300 44.25 mm? The lug distance is 21 mm. Do you choose the strap first and a corresponding clasp to fit it?

Incoming! PAM 911: "Last one for Paneristi"
Saw the PAM 911 announced on Instagram last week and decided to take a chance on it even though I never saw it in person. The early photos definitely didn't do it justice with most pics making the dial look bright green. Photographing this watch is tough and its hard to get a really good feel for it unless you see it in person. In the steel, the watch is a stunner and the dial is more of a dark camo/military type green. Its color is subtle and changes between green and grey depending on the lighting.Big thank you to Khalil at Panerai Central and Julie at the Costa Mesa Panerai boutique for making it happen. Hi guys,Since the BLNR is now discontinued I'm thinking about buying a DaytonaC. I showed up with $12,400 in cash and demanded my AD sell me one. I was really ticked off to hear that he didn't have one for me. To make things worse he went as far as to say there is a list! I thought he would want a new customer! So now I'm thinking about maybe the Hulk. But I'm just not sure, Is it a good investment? Will it be worth more than the PepsiC in 7.4 years? Speaking of the PepsiC what's with that color? I thought Rolex was going to make the exact same watch as the 16710 just with a ceramic bezel?? And a jubilee? That's for old geezers. My AD said I could be 15th on the list for the Pepsi if I want though. How long will that take for me to get it? Will there be a price increase between now and then? What if I pre-pay?
