Panerai convert here
Hello, this is my first visit to Panerai forum. I only saw these watches in photos and was never really attracted to them. However, I saw my first one in the wild that an aquantice had on and I gotta tell ya, it looked great. Its time to say goodbye
I have about a week left with my Yachtmaster, it's been my one and only for a long time, I've enjoyed the great times but unfortunately, its time to say goodbye. Starting by the YM with all the goodies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are Rolex' really falling apart or breaking within 5 years?
So I am thinking of purchasing my first Rolex off the grey market for a significant discount but the downside is obviously no 5 year warranty from Rolex. So many people here are so concerned about not have the Rolex warranty that they are willing to pay an extra $1000's for it! Sounds crazy to me. My question is are people really having that many problems with rolex' within the first 5 years or is it just the piece of mind you are looking for? I would think the watch would be pretty robust for such an expensive time piece..... I understand you could have a lemon and anything mechanical could break (because it's mechanical) or you abuse it doing stupid things. Assuming it is not worn while working out or swimming or jack hammering all the time, I would think it would last forever.... Am I missing something? What types of reasons have you had to send it in for repair for within the first 5 years and when/how often do you where it? Is there a couple of very common issues with them? What
