Baselworld 2015: Bell & Ross BR-X1 Carbone Forg
One of Bell & Ross's top watches in 2014 was the BR-X1, a chronograph that played off the brand's popular classic, the BR-01. (The BR-X1 was also featured in the January 2015 issue of WatchTime.) At Baselworld 2015, Bell & Ross had another update to the model: the BR-X1 Carbone Forg, which shows off the chronograph in a striking new case design.True to its name, the new edition of the BR-X1 comes in a forged-carbon case. The case retains the signature shape of its ancestor, the BR-01. It is square at its base with a round dial. The case diameter is 45 mm. While the upper sections of the case are made of a single piece of carbon, forged in a steel mold using a patented process, the lower part of the case uses ceramic and rubber to create a durable bumper. The dial has a tinted sapphire crystal, so your eyes are immediately drawn to its clear indications: applied metal indexes with Super-LumiNova inserts at the hour markers the hour and minutes hands, also luminous, are skeletoni
Pastor Maldonado's Dad a Royal Oak Fan!!!
Pastor Maldonado from Venezuela won the Grand Prix of Catalunya today. At the time of the podium celebration they had a close up shot of his dad and I noticed he wears nothing but a gorgeous Royal Oak in SS. It looks like a 5402ST to me. However, it could also be a 15202 or a 15300. Not sure! What do you think? Should I?
Not long time ago I bought a Rolex Explorer II 42mm polar. Right now I only have two watches, Explorer and Deep Sea, the DSSD is my favorite one. Long time ago, I had a Breitling B1 Super Quartz, I loved it but was obly 30 meters...So here is the thing, do you think I'll do right if I sell the Explorer and buy the new Breitling Avenger 2 Chrono (grey/brown dial) with bracelet and maybe later leather and rubber. If I do that, I'll keep more than 1k in my pocket, but I don't do it thinking in money. I like the Breitling for few reasons:DateSteel300 metersCrhono that can be used underwaterDatePossibility to change straps (with Rolex I will not do it, I don't feel good)Really important, INDEPENDENT BRAND! Is that a watch for a hardly use?Best regards
Multiple waiting lists or Not?
I want to buy a 5711 1A 011 (white) from an AD... This will be my first Patek, so I don't have a relationship with an AD. Are there any cons for getting on multiple waiting lists?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rolex in a sauna
Will bringing a rolex or in this case any watch into a sauna or a similar environment cause the watch to steam up inside the case and screw up the movement or dial
