2009 Hamilton Ventura XXL Automatic Watch
It was only a matter of time before Hamilton decided it was time for a real rehash of the classic Ventura watch. This is not to be confused with now defunct Ventura watches. The Ventura watch model from Hamilton first came out in the age of pre-quartz electronic watches. When "electronic" watches meant something futuristic and exotic. It was the spacey look of the watch that really mattered though. At the time, it was really "out there." Shaped like a shield on its side - many with the popular two-tone leather strap - the Ventura has been in production for over 50 years. It is funny that only more recently have the watches become mechanical. The 50th anniversary Hamilton Ventura sported a partially skeletonized face and ETA 2824-2 automatic mechanical movement. The Ventura has screen time in at least one film. It was worn by the heroes in the Men in Black movies, going along with the retro space-age theme. Over 50 years, very little changed with the look of the Ventura case itself, whic

AP ROO bed experience
Hi guys,I am new on this forum and in the same time new fun of Rolex watch. For a long time I was a very big fun of AP ROO but I want to tell my story maybe help new AP ROO funs!! I want to tell only last 2 bed story with AP ROO because is very much to tell....In June I buy from a AD an AP ROO Jarno Trulli. I like very much carbon and cermet combo. The watch are pre-owned so I send the watch to RO&RO Wien who are AP authorized service to make a complete overhaul. After 3 week the watch come back with complete overhaul due. I pay 1460.But I see the watch have+ 20-30 sec/day so I send it back to adjust the watch! After another 3 week they send me back the watch and tell the watch are ok but the watch work same +30 sec/day! And again I send it back to adjust! In the mean time I buy it a new AP ROO 42 mm rose gold in Friday 19.08.2016 from a different AD. I make my self a gift for my birdsday. In 22.08.2016 I go back because the watch work +40 sec/day!!!AD tell me he can change my watch
Brushing Titanium PCLs? (Speedmaster 57)
Hi all,After seeing it in person, the Speedmaster 57 (Titanium on Titanium) is a really beautiful watch. As you know, the center links of the Titanium bracelet are polished, just like the Stainless Steel version. Right now, I like the PCLs, but I was wondering if I wanted to in the future, one could brush the center links to match the brushed look of the outer links.I've read that an AD could do that fairly easily on a Speedmaster 57 stainless steel bracelet, but I'm wondering if the same is true for a Titanium bracelet or would it be a more difficult (or possibly easier?) job because of the different metal characteristics. Any info would be appreciated.Thanks.
Rolex Tudor Servicing Cost
Hi there! I recently inherited a Cotton Bowl Classic Rolex/Tudor Day-Date (7017/0) (autowinding) from my Grandfather who was on the Nebraska coaching staff for the 1974 Cotton Bowl. To my knowledge, the watch has either never been worn or was very seldomly worn. This also means that I don't believe it has been serviced since 1974. I fully wound it and the second hand works perfectly, but the minute and hour hands run very slow. I know almost nothing about watches, but I'm wondering if anyone on here can help me with a ballpark estimate of what I should expect to spend to have it properly serviced. I'd like to avoid getting taken to the cleaners due to my lack of experience. Thanks in advance for your replies!Ben
