How much to sell Breitling Aerospace (one of twelve)
Ive got a Breitling Aerospace Titanium that was given to the military pilots after the MS Estonia accident. One of twelve made.It got a special dial and some paper proving it from Breitling. It was rarely worn by the pilot and box and papers are complete.Do you think its worth more then a normal Aerospace, or do Breitling do this spacial series all the time, making it nothing special? For those of you who dont remember MS Estonia.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_EstoniaThe accident claimed 852 lives (501 Swedes, 285 Estonians, 17 Latvians, 10 Finns and 44 people of other nationalities: 1 from Belarus, 1 from Canada, 1 from France, 1 from the Netherlands, 1 from Nigeria, 1 from Ukraine, 1 from United Kingdom, 2 from Morocco, 3 from Lithuania, 5 from Denmark, 6 from Norway, 10 from Germany, 11 from Russia), by drowning and hypothermia, (the water temperature was 10C–11 C/50–52 F). A year on the wrist - a reflection
I've had my Explorer II 16570 that I bought used for about 14 months, now, actually. I've worn it virtually every waking hour - I enjoy wearing it that much. I don't polish it, because the scratches look cool. Crystal and timekeeping are holding up great. What really inspired me to share this sentiment, though, is that I've been looking at prices on this model and it's appreciated. Wearing this watch every day has actually brought more value into my life than I originally invested in it on paper. Every man (or lady!) should experience one - you deserve it! Go Rolex!
Picked up another
I have been looking for the last couple of months for a new piece. Wanted to get something that is simple and classic. Looked at a number of vintage pieces but prices are silly and i never felt comfortable really knowing what i was buying. I had looked at the DJ 41 at a AD while i was traveling and really liked the way it looked and felt on the wrist. Love the refinements, especially the way the black dial catches the light. Thanks Patrick!
