What will replace carbon and ceramic divers?
Well the title says it all, what do you think will replace these 3 models since it's clear now that they are discontinued? Don't know how a RG would be, the Wempe one was great, maybe a titanium model, the ultra light weight would be very cool, I don't think they will leave it as is with just 2 SS models considering the history of this model and the different materials you could get it inWhat do you think? Have any ideas on future material possibilities? How happy I am to be one of the few owners to have one, ok I had more exclusive pieces, a Pam 82 shadow case for example, but didn't love it as much as this one.
Rolex trade for Omega?
I have had a TT Datejust model 1601 Rolex for years. I bought it used and it is a 1972 model that has jsut been serviced. A Gentleman would like to trade me his Seamaster Professional Automatic + $200.00 for the Rolex. He just had the Omega serviced. I have never owned an Omega. Is this a good trade? I have vision problems and I can really see the Seamaster as well as any watch I have looked at. Thanks

A special one for my 5000th post!
I've been planning this for a while and actually had to refrain from posting for the last couple of weeks, so I wouldn't go over the mark After spending years with the sports models exclusively, this one feels... special. That is the first word which came to my mind when putting it on for the first time. It gives off a very distinct feeling from, say, a 619 - which is amazing in a different kind of way, as the 619 is robust and sporty to the core. This one feels like it would also take anything you can throw at it, but with an elegance that few others possess. As for the 5k posts, my sincere thanks to the TRF family - Steve, moderators, forum sponsors and, especially, all the friends that I have had the privilege to make over the years. This is a truly unique community.
