Watches NEWS
Introducing: The Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar
This time last year, Omega brought out what they would position as the ultimate all-purpose, every day watch in the Globemaster. The watch has a lot going for it as is, but now Omega has upped the ante with a Globemaster with annual calendar complication. 1 OF 2 Now in 41 mm (the normal Globemaster is 39 mm), this new annual calendar features each month of the year in the 12 facets of the trademark pie-pan dial. Then, a thin blued hand points towards the current month, which then instantly jumps at month's end. 2 OF 2 The case remains stainless steel while the polished, fluted bezel is made of scratch-proof tungsten carbide. As with the other Globemasters, the annual calendar features a co-axial, master chronometer certification from METAS. More details, including pricing and hands-on photos, to come.More from Omega here. Don't have the HODINKEE App yet? Anyone ever use deployant buckles from Panatime?
I bought a couple recently just for the heck of it. Have not put them through their paces yet. About $35 each...you can tell the machining isn't as crisp as the OEM buckles. The brushed buckle looks pretty good...And they don't use that microscopic screw. Instead, the spring bar holding the short end of the strap screws apart. But compared to $400+ for the OEM buckle with logo...
Warrantee Question
So if this has been asked before, apologies.I have the opportunity to purchase a less than a year old Rolex. The warrantee card is stamped by an authorised dealer in Portugal. I'm in the UK.The card is not correctly completed, the purchaser's name is omitted and the date is not in the correct format.Do you think Rolex will honour the balance of the warrantee should I need to take advantage? Thanks in advance for any help.
