Christopher Ward C65 Classic Watch
When it comes to affordable watches with some interesting styling, Christopher Ward has been on the radar for most of us, and new for the brand is the Christopher Ward 65 Classic. One of the first watches I came into contact with from them was their excellent C60 Trident GMT. Given that history, I was rather intrigued to see their new iteration in that lineup, the C65 Trident Classic. This takes the Trident line from it's sport roots, and moves it most definitely into the realm of a dress watch. We still keep the same handset, and the wave pattern embossed into the dial. The 42mm case carries a similar profile as well, though here it's done up in a satin finish. And that's where we depart from similarities, and start talking about the differences. Attached to the case is a new bracelet (a leather strap is available as well). On the dial side of Christopher Ward C65 Classic, we see a new color the Trident lineup hasn't had before (optic white), along with a familiar hue (matte black). Top 10 'The Great Gatsby' Era Watches
With the 2013 movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby book being released shortly, we wanted to take a look at some of the best wrist watches from the roaring 20s. The 1920s, in a sense, was the first real decade of the wrist watch. It was when both men and women started to adapt wrist watches over pocket watches. Some of the best brands that make watches today were around back then, and of course the dominant design ethos of art deco was a major influence of watch design. In The Great Gatsby, author F. Scott Fitzgerald focuses on the ultra-wealthy, who would have been keen to adopt the latest high-end trends and styles. The end of World War I created a shift in the minds of many men who originally saw wrist watches as feminine. Soldiers from the war often adapted pocket watches with lugs so that they could be strapped to their wrist. This was not the birth of the wrist watch, but helped cement their manliness in mainstream culture. 1920s era timepieces were quite bold in their designs com
Alternative to 5167
I love the Aquanaut and will own one some day, but I've been looking at the GO Seventies Panorama Date which is about half the price of the 5167 and has many similarities IMO. I'm not going to say that the GO is nearly as amazing a watch as the 5167, but it is still a wonderful piece. And the gray dialed GO on rubber especially seems very similar to the Aquanaut IMO. Similar case shape, simple design, sporty yet classy aesthetic, very versatile. Am I crazy in thinking that the two pieces are similar? Do you guys think it's a worthy alternative for some time until I decide to move into a much higher price range which the PP is in? Thanks guys.Sent from my Nexus 7 using TapatalkPics from the interweb

I don't want to wind up with the Panerai that nobody wants, thinking of resale. How would the 40mm wear compare to say a Sub?I appreciate the help! Thanks
New Sub or Batman
Just wanting some thoughts from the forum. I'm a new forum member and I'm trying to decide between another sub or gmt batman. I've had three subs ( two tone black, black and the Kermit) and enjoyed all three. I sold the Kermit a while back and made a great profit from original purchase and used it partially toward another investment ('17 M3) Things have settled and I'm looking between another sub or the gmt batman to which I have never owned one. Thanks to all
