HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 167: Should You Pay Attention To Watch Auctions?
What do you know! As different as John and I are, the last watches we each bought were the same. We are now (once again) Omega brothers, each rocking a Speedmaster Mk II. We discuss the interesting world of watch auctions and try to dispel some of the myth and magic that can get in the way of a good experience. We also discuss the rather odd Ralf Tech "Torpedo" and an Artya watch with real tobacco inside.Listen to the HourTime Watch Podcast episode 167 here. Direct MP3 download here.

And loving it so far!
AP Dealer gifts/promo items
Anyone had any dealer freebies thrown in with their purchase?Would be interesting to see some of the items offered by dealers, so far i've seen pens, table clocks, watch winders, bezel key rings and travel pouchesI'm not sure if the table clock is a freebie or was a short production run as an additional purchasable item?
5164 or 5167
hi trf! i have consolidated again (for the nth time) and have been left with a journe bleu, 5711, jlc geophysic, dd40 green and an sd4k.i owned the 5167 before but disposed of it (and regret) to get a piece. i find myself going towards the 5164 this time round since i have the 5711.that being said, what is the difference in terms of wear? the 5167 was just right on the wrist; maybe a little small. is the .8mm increase in size and weight noticeable?with my current lineup i feel inclined to get the 5164.help pleaseSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Missing Warranty Card
Hi guys,My dad has a Rolex that is still under warranty. Basically the watch stopped moving and he needs to have it repaired. The warranty card is in the box but he cannot find it. He brought a copy of the receipt to the service center in Manila, but they insist he needs to bring the warranty card. The watch was bought in Belgium.Does he really need the warranty card to claim the warranty? My understanding is that Rolex would know the details of that watch including the warranty. He is the first owner of the watch and it was bought from an AD.Thank you for your help.
