Yes, it isn't a watch, but it is what a belt buckle is when made and designed by watch makers, and people in the watch making world. I haven't specifically written about Roland Iten before on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer, but he is an inventor and a designer - and he is very talented. Roland Iten is based in Switzerland, and his items are totally made in Switzerland. Few people have his eye for aesthetic, taste, and engineering. He is sort of an ultra suave nerd - my kinda guy. In fact, in his words, the three principles that lead all of his designs are "performance, skill, and sophistication." AP 15400 Dial
Decided on an AP 15400 and can't decide between the black or silver dial. Have seen the silver and like it. Haven't seen the black. I know it's personal preference but what do you guys think? I like the reflective properties of the silver. Does the black also reflect the light well, is it a dull black or more of a gloss black. Thanks, Sam

I can't say I like the 5175R and when I first saw it and read about it, I didn't think much of the watch, but after watching this, I've gained a whole new appreciation of it. Can Rolex do this during service? SD43 question.
I would never in a million years have this done, but am just curious... would Rolex be able to swap out the SD43's crystal/glass for one without a cyclops during a service?
