Moritz Grossman is a name you probably haven't heard of before, which is a bit surprising given the lineage of the man the company is named for. Back in 1842, Herr Grossman began a watchmaking apprenticeship, which he ended up completing early due to his talent. Over the next 13 years, he traveled around Europe (including a stop in La Chaux-de-Fonds), before coming back to Dresden in 1845. And this year, a new chapter in the legacy of Mortiz Grossman sees a new high-end German watch brand.In Dresden, Mortiz's good friend Adolph Lange (yes, the A. Lange) had established his facilities in Glash��tte, and convinced Grossman to stay in the area. Stay he did, creating things such as the Glash��tte lathe, and various escapements and other movement improvements until his death in 1885. Horrible experience with AP and service centre - advice sought
Hi all, Am very upset with my experience so far, but will try to organise my post in an objective manner, as I am looking on advice on how I may proceed if things don't turn out well. Posted this on TZ as well, but decided to post here too as I welcome different persepectives.I bought an AP ROO Panda some time ago brand new, and about a week or so after found that the power reserve was clearly lacking, stopping after less than 12 hours (I posted about this previously as well). I brought it to the service centre in my country Singapore, and was subsequently told that the lubricating oil had dried up, and this would require an 8 week service period. I noticed on forum searches that this was a pretty common issue, so no matter, allowed the service period and patiently awaited its return. I was then informed yesterday that the watch was ready for collection, about 8 weeks from the time I sent it in. Went back, collected the piece, it looked fine, and proceeded to wear the watch last night.

theres always these panda dial speedmasters. Best part is that they are even much rarer than vintage daytonas. Real sleepers in my opinion.Got mine this morning. Really happy with it.

Most versatile Rolex reference?
Hi all,In lieu of the new 126710 BLRO, there has been discussion that the 16710 is a more versatile timepiece. I personally enjoy the options of swapping out the 3 aluminum bezel inserts, and oyster bracelet to jubilee. A bezel insert change gives the timepiece a completely different look, and I feel as though I'm wearing a new watch. Some members have claimed to get bored or styles change, and end up flipping their timepiece for a new one. With the 16710 you essentially have 1 watch with 6 different looks (9 if you have a nato strap).I'm a proud owner of the 6 in 1 club, and love the variety. Do any other owners of the 16710 ever get bored with this reference? In your opinion, what is the most versatile Rolex reference?? Cheers!
