Watch Spotting: Jimmy Fallon Gives Father-In-Law Bremont MB1 Live On The Tonight Show
Bremont's MB series – short for Martin-Baker – were some of the British brand's earliest watches, and they are still some of their most popular. The no-nonsense adventure watches offer a lot of bad-assery for the buck, but the most bad-ass of them all is the MB1. Why? Because in order to buy it, you have to have survived a live ejection from an active military plane at some point in your life. Turns out Jimmy Fallon's father-in-law has, and last night, Jimmy gave him a Bremont MB1 live on the Tonight Show. 1 OF 2 You can watch the clip above, and read more about the Bremont MB1 right here. 2 OF 2
Found a Great Aftermarket Speedy Strap Option
Guys, I found a pretty good aftermarket strap option that I wanted to share. Like most I love the versatility & possibilities that the Speedy Pro offers when it comes to straps. I had tried a bunch to say the least!!Anyway check out this site stores.ebay/TimePieceRepublic for some decent options. I had been searching for some time for an alligator / deployant combo for my SP. I found this site and tried out an black alligator grain leather one with the deployant. To my surprise it is really quite good. Then I decided to see if an OEM Omega deployant would work with one of their straps. As most know the Omega deployants are designed to only work with Omega deployant straps. So I picked up a brushed Omega deployant from Ofrei and guess whatthese straps work perfect! They are high quality and available in a wide range of colors, options, etc If you want to pair one up with a OEM original deployant its all good. Make sure you order the straps designed for an Omega deployant. At t
Buying from AD in Japan
I managed to talk my brother into buying a Rolex to replace his speedmaster reduced and in the end he bought a 36mm DJ. He is very pleased with his Rolex and now looking to get a sub no date.He lives in Japan and he told me that ADs in Japan don't take waiting list for watches, is that true? I know that there are many resellers in Japan but what if you want to get an SS sports model from an AD? Do you just go there everyday and hope for the best?Any members in Japan can provide some thoughts? Thank you
My year of Rolex
It would be nice to hear stories of some special year which you had with Rolex hobby, please share Here’s mine, 2017:I got into Rolex in the beginning of this year, began to understand the brand and what Rolex watches really are. I got hyped right away when i saw so many references i really like. I started to lurk around TRF and joined, it has been hobby time since that day. Even that i come from Switzerland i was amazed about this wide culture around Rolex. And on the top this huge positive mind set this community has. I feel priviledged to find this, thank you once again.I started to check and get deeper knowledge of different Rolexes, totally felt i have some serious catching up to do. And the result is that at the time i have 7 Rolexes and one Tudor.First i got Explorer II:Precise, practical watch which is very comfortable. Has taken most of the wrist time and has been thru many situations with me so far. It is about reliability and being under the radar.Right after i had De
