Star Wars Watches By Marc Ecko Sneak Preview
A deep sense of childish excitement erupted when I laid my eyes on these early renderings of the new Star Wars collection watches by Marc Ecko. The brand and trademark (for Marc Ecko watches) is now owned by the Timex group, who are probably going to do a good job at making Marc Ecko watches look much nicer. I have not always been a fan of the brand's offerings, see this article of mine here. Actually come to think of it, I don't see at all how a Star Wars themed watch fits into the Marc Ecko style at all, though I am perhaps missing something the designer did in the past. Regardless, who cares? These new watches are going to be pretty darn awesome! I don't really care what brand name is slapped on them as long as they look good and are done with decent quality standards. For one thing, I don't think that this is going to be the whole collection, but rather 2-3 preliminary watch renderings, and there will be more. Plus, the watches will likely be split into a "Dark Side" line, and the r
No love for AP Royal Oak Chrono 26320? Owners PLS show photos here :D
Hi everyone, I've been looking at getting an AP. I'm kind of torn between the 1.AP ROO (not the new ones with the exhibition back)2. and the AP ROC. I'm looking at definitely looking for a timeless watch, which will be relatively easy keep. I flip alot of watches, my Breitlings/IWC/Hamiltons etc but with this sort of money, i'm looking at a watch to keep for a long time. Some points i'm considering are:1. Whether the ROO will eventually be too 'large' for modern standards in say another 10-20 years (I know this is hard to gauge, and is more often than not subjective)2. How well the rubber parts on the crowns and pushers for the ROO would last (some say they go after a couple of years and are an expensive option to replace)3. Piggybacked movement for the AP ROO (although it is still an inhouse movement)4. Non-inhouse movement for the AP ROC (although I understand it is a highly regarded F Piguet movement)5. Size of the two watches, I have a PAM and I feel an AP ROO wears smaller. 6. I h
Need tips buying my first Royal Oak
HeyI am buying myself a RO. I just want some input from people with experience.Currently I only have one offer, to trade my 116610 (fullset, 2012) with a guy and pay about $4700 to get a 15202 (no box, no paper) from 2004 but in very good condition. Service history unknown, so it might be in need of a full service. Is that a good deal? I was going for a 15300 at first but this is what I got at the moment. I don't know what I miss if I get the 15202.If this isn't a good deal, what is? Please help me and if you have tips where to look (some shop, dealer or anything) in Europe it would be great to know!Grateful for the help I can get!
PP5167 Slow-mo movement clip
I was playing around with my iPhone 6+ today and found the slow motion feature of the video camera. Pretty cool! Wanted to share a quick clip of my PP5167 324 S C movement at 240 FPS. Quality was lossed when uploaded to YouTube - but still neat!.youtube/watch?v=-EX7Ad2ksIs
6 digit Sub with a leather strap
Hello allI am happy to have joined this forum, as even though I have a lot to learn, I do feel like I've learned a lot on here Last week or so, I learned from a member on here, that the 6 digit Submariner case, has a groove cut into it, between the lugs, where the solid end links on the bracelet sit (or something like that). I understood from this member that this groove destroys leather straps. Is there a way to use a leather strap on a 6 digit Submariner, without having to use end links, or curved lug ends, or curved spring bars? Many thanks to all
