Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends 23 October, 2015
To close October, we are turning our attention to the city of Hong Kong, which is surely one of the most significant market for watches. Hong Kong, as some of you may know, is the single largest market for watches. It continues to the lead the world in terms of value for Swiss watch exports. Last year, it imported over 4.1 billion CHF worth of Swiss watches, nearly double that of the United States. And along with neighboring China, it's also one of the world's largest exporters of watches. So this month, we decided to check out the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and also Watches & Wonders 2015. Check out what we saw in this month's round-up below. Our visits to Hong Kong aside, we also look at new watches from SevenFriday, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Omega. Any guidance on limits for the 50m rating on RO's
Hi All, I can't help myself, I love the Royal Oak. It is also such an icon for a steel sport watch. Comfy and looks great. But I am little bothered by a depth rating of only 50m on a sport watch. Come on AP! An icon of watch making, why cant they make their flagship sport watch 100m? Many other brands can and in a case that is just as thin. A bit frustrating, as I live near the beach and like to swim in my watches. I am not trying to insult any buyers or the brand. I still hope to have one one day. So with that said, does anyone have any guidance on how careful one must be with the 50m rating on AP's? Anyone have any water issues? Thanks.
maybe a stupid question
so i bought my SS sub date in Dec. and i have read a few times on here about how fast the date changes on the new rolexs and what not.so on new years i thought it would be cool to film in the date change at midnight in slow-mo, well i did just that but my date did not change at midnight i waited 30 or so secs before i gave up and then popped the crown thinking maybe somehow i screwed up and set it wrong but as soon as i popped my crown the date changed.i have had no problems with this watch at all... its been a champ runs -1 sec a day im very happy.just wondering if it should be changing the date at midnight or not?thanksMike
Buddies!
