My First Grail Watch: Christopher Ward
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch". In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Chistopher Ward (CW): Hello, my name is Christopher Ward and I am addicted to watches. I'm also one of the founding members of Christopher Ward London Limited. There may be some connection between those two points.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?CW: My hometown, Liverpool, is home to one (and only one) of the world's best soccer teams but it also has a rich history in watchmaking. My first grail watch was a pocket watch by Thomas Russell, based in Liverpool. The company made early keyless watches, including Karrusels and chronometers, mainly in the second half of the 19th century.ABTW: What did you like so much about the watch?CW: I love the clarity of its design; it has such deceptively simple, clean lines and

What do you guys think of an Omega Seamaster Titanium Limited Edition from 1998 for around $2,500? It is in very good to mint condition.
vintage omega question
Hi!,I have an old omega geneve which was given to me by my dad about three years back. I had it serviced in the omega center and they did a beautiful job, making the watch run at about +1/day. After a year or so of seldom wear, water got in when I was in the rain. The case back apparently had a crack which was thought to be previously harmless. I took back the watch and had the service center replace the whole case, crystal and case back as the buying the case back was possible. I assume they didn't re-service the watch and just transplanted the movement on the new case. I wore the watch sparingly and didn't time it until now. Now, I just noticed that it is +25/day. It has been pretty consistent the past few days, +15 overnight and +10 while being worn. My problem is that I am overseas and will probably be here for the next half year or so. No omega service centers here and I don't speak the local language so I don't really want to bring it to a local repair shop here. Will

Good day all. Well I said I wouldn't be buying another watch this year but I've kind of been Jonesing for this one for a while ...I'm curious what the collective here think of it? I already have a 690 which has the same movement (essentially). Would this be redundant or does the Luminor wear significant different than theb1940 Radiomir? My collection is: Dblue, Sd43 and the aforementioned 690.It's only available on the gray market and selling at quite a premium to original list.A picture (not mine) for discussion. Panos if you're there .... please chime in Thoughts??Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk
