Tiger Woods Signs Endorsement Deal with Rolex
Today Tiger Woods and Rolex announced a new partnership that marks the return of Woods to the world of big-time endorsements. The deal follows TAG Heuer’s August decision to drop Woods as an ambassador, and it is the first major endorsement deal for Woods since the downfall that began in November, 2009. “Rolex is convinced that Tiger Woods still has a long career ahead of him and that he has all the qualities required to continue to mark the history of golf,” Rolex said in a statement posted on its official website on Wednesday. “The brand is committed to accompanying him in his new challenges.”“This association pays tribute to the exceptional stature of Tiger Woods and the leading role he plays in forging the sport’s global appeal. More relatively affordable Swiss watch action from Oris. New for 2010 is this updated BC3 Sportsman model in a 42mm case. This is about as no nonsense as you'd want to get with a watch, and Oris keeps all the functionality you've come to expect in this collection. For years that have been centrally aligning the day and date windows for a nice clean look. As you can see, at 6 o'clock you have two stacked windows with the calendar information. Done well with white text on black discs to match the dial. Hands are long and easy to read, almost as though the watch were a dive watch. The hands and some of the numeral markers are coated in SuperLumiNova for ease of reading. That combined with the well placed markers make this one highly legible watch. AP Clearwater Service - Thumbs Up!
I just wanted to share my recent experience with AP Clearwater and their service. I've sent watches in to RSC Dallas and PASC Ft. Worth so I do have some experience with OEM service. I must say AP had the most professional and attentive customer service that I've ever experienced. They answered all of my numerous emails and calls, and were always courteous and professional. I've posted a bit about this before because I had a slightly unusual situation, but now that my watch is back home, I couldn't be happier!I bought my E-series ROC 25860 from a watch shop owner in Chicago. It was his personal watch dating back to about 1998 or so. It had a green octagonal box but no papers. I wasn't even sure the box belonged with the watch, but an email to AP confirmed that it actually did ecause this was before the wooden boxes!The major pre-purchase issue was that the chronograph didn't advance past 1 minute so it was sent to a non-AP watchmaker who repaired it before I bought it.
