Popular Watchmakers Sign New Book At Basel
If you are one of the lucky people who is going to be at Basel, you can join me and many others, at the book signing of the new book on watch makers, "12 Faces Of Time." The special event will see some of today's best watch makers together. The book features and profiles them, discussing them and their work. While each of the watch makers is different, they are each easily in the genius category. This is probably one of your only chances to see them all together. Watch makers aren't know to be the most social people, but ask them the right questions, and they open up like a crack in the Hoover Dam. Watch makers are also known to sometimes be notoriously competitive, so I wonder if a "best watch maker" fight will ensue. "5 Microns?!! PsssshhhTry 4 Microns!" That would certainly be cause for attendance. Any one got one of these and wouldn't mind posting a pic? are all of these manual wind? im particularly intereseted in this oneanyone know the model number of this? the one with SS bezel and 18k white gold? i think its 3576.50 for the SS, not sure about the white gold bezel though. any confirmation for this?thanks

Omega Seamaster 300GMT or a used Panerai?
Hey Fellas,I've been eye-ing the 300GMT for quite some time now and have been putting some money away on the side for one. I was planning on making the purchase through watchuseek's forum AD which saves me considerably. Now, I just began looking at the Panerais and have been very intrigued. They are rather large at 44mm and is borderline on my wrist, but they still look very cool and are quite a bit different from the watches I have now. I have a Rolex Sub Date and a Tag Monaco ala Mcqueen in blue with croc band. Lately, I've been smitten with the band...So, a brand new 300GMT or spend quite a bit more on a pre-owned Panerai?

Aquanaut 5167 + 5164 strap sizes?
Do the 5167 and 5164 use the same strap? Can't seem to get a straight answer from Patek. Thanks...
