The material in question is a carbon fiber-based material that's made by layers of CF filaments (no more than 30 microns thick) in which each layer is at 45 degrees to the previous one.This is something that comes from the world of racing yachts, which is really where there has been a lot of innovation in the past few years coming up with lightweight materials that can stand up to the stresses of sheer speed, and the forces coming from the wind and water. Would you buy? - AP survivor
Hey guys,I went and looked at a AP survivor this weekend. It's got all box/papers and has had one owner (allegedly). The watch however shows a lot of signs of wear. If you look closely the crown protector chipped colors and there are a lot of scratches on it. For those who are formulaic with the watch I have the following Q'a1) can the watch be polished or do the coating does wear off over time? Hey Everyone,After a couple of trips to Clearwater and around 5 months, I finally have my ROC back. I won't belabor the details for it's extended stay at APSC as I have already brought it up in another thread, but needless to say, I am excited to enjoy it for the rest of the summer. I ordered the conversion for the rubber strap for the warmer months and love the look and also the feel so far. Enjoy the day everyone (I know I will)!
