First AP - Royal Oak 15400 White
Shipped this in from New York yesterday. Paid more than I wanted to, but other than this one I couldn't find any anywhere except boutiques. The white dial is the way to go. I looked at the black and blue, but the pop on this is just amazing. taking it tomorrow to get one more link added on, AD took out two and its a bit too tight.Definitely last purchase for a while. Gotta get through college, lol
First AP !
Hi boys ! Very happy to say that I have my first AP on the way, after a few Rolex I finally tried on the silver dial 15400 and I was hooked. Is there anything I need to know ? I'm very used to Rolex being built like tanks I'm just wondering if there's something I should know about. Like Omega's 'don't change the date between 10 and 2'. My mindset with Rolex has been to send for service only when needed, it always ended up being cheaper then just sending it in every 5 years even if something happen to break. I'm talking 10 years or so not 20-30. Should I be more careful with the AP ?What about swimming with the AP ?I'm sure this is mostly dumb questions just rather be safe then sorry.
USAF limited
I was wondering what value this watch has. It is 27/50. Says not for sale on the baok as well. I did find there was a 500 limited run but this is not one of them. Any ideas as to value on such a small run of 50 timepieces ?
Eyeing Speedmaster 3510.50
So I am strongly considering an Omega Speedmaster 3510.50 reduced. I am probably going to buy one on eBay from a reputable seller. Only few questions are what's a good price point? A lot of them are from 1999 and haven't been serviced so I'm factoring $400-$600-$800 dollars for servicing. If some one can give me a price point I should pay. That would be great you don't need to factor service costs in. And should I go box and papers or none? I might want to sell it down the line. And last and final question. How does this model hold value? I know it's not the moon watch version. But if I do decide to sell it down the line will I at least get my money back? Thanks all hope everyone is having a good day.
Purchase 116660 DSSD please help :(
Hello guys.I am due to buy 116660 DSSD Black. I went to Rolex AD in my local area then they quoted me $12050 + tax (No discount). I told them that I would think about it. However, I found a new 116660 at Chrono24 but the price is 22% cheaper than the AD I visited. The watch is also new, coming with 5 yr original warranty, and almost full-set (EXCEPT a white tag and bezel protector).Even though the Chrono seller one does not have white tag and bezel protector, should I take this one? The AD 116660 comes with completely full set of course but the price difference is 22%. If you guys were me, which one would you guys take?Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.Thank you
