Best Of: Audemars Piguet Watch Museum
It is ironic (and sad), that literally a week or two after I visited the Audemars Piguet Watch Museum in Le Brassus, it was burglarized! Yup, flat out heist. The thieves scaled the sides of the building with a ladder, broke into a window and ran off across the border into France with some watches. I am not sure what they were able to run off with. The museum is designed such that the exhibits are each in highly secured "vault" style rooms. Meaning that if you break into one room, chances are that you aren't gonna get into other rooms. I wonder what they were able to get. Some of those items are likely pictured here. Audemars Piguet and European police are clearly after the thieves, but a job like this requires a highly sophisticated client who wants the items for themselves. Incoming (actually already here)--thanks MB23!
Picked this up Sunday (thanks Mike). Traded in Schumi (which I still love), but can't keep them all. I wish AP would make the rubber strap for this one (it appears the blue strap on the new 42mm Navy would work perfectly due to the darker color blue, but need AP to make it for the 44mms).PS--thanks to Martin and Hamish for the input on this piece!

This or That: 5230G vs. Lange 1 moonphase WG
So, help me out here....Yes I know this is a Patek subforum but hopefully that doesn't equate to blind prejudice :)These two pieces are very different. However my current collection already includes travel timers (e.g. the 5164, GMTII, SBGJ019), time only watches, and moonphases, as well as Lange (1815 Up/Down and Saxonia Annual Calendar), and of course the perfect little PP 3940j that will never leave my collection. So the question of This or That is not one based on need, or a desire to round out the stable...simply the fact that both pieces (the Lange 1 and the 5230) have each caught my eye and I want to choose between them. What would you do?Rich
Best tool to remove links
Hi All,Looking for suggestions on a tool to remove links. I find that the standard tools can easily scratch the watch/bracelet. Any recommendations?
