Badollet Ivresse Watch Hands-On + Manufacture Visit
Badollet is a brand that is not very well-known but has been quietly gaining recognition for this particular piece, the Ivresse, which I had a chance to see being made at their atelier in La Valle de Joux near Geneva. For those who do not know, Badollet is a young company, having started recently in 2006. The circumstances under which the company was born however are very interesting and speaks to the long history of Swiss watchmaking. ?Badollet in its current conception is a revival of an old company name. The original Badollet was a company that was started by Jean Badollet in 1655, the first of an unbroken line of watchmakers all the way to 1924. ?Some of the highlights of the Badollet watchmaking dynasty include the publication of "L'Excellence de L'Horlogerie" by Jean II Badollet in 1689 and the fact that?Jean-Jacques I, another descendant, supplied parts and finished watches to?Abraham-Louis Breguet in Paris. The company closed in 1924 having been affected by the outbreak of World

New to Omega
Hi everyone,Mostly stay around the Rolex threads, but today one of my friends was talking about how he wanted an Omega. And to be honest my Omega knowledge is pretty limited. His requirements were white face, a dressy watch, and preferably under 3k. I took a look briefly and think that the only model that fits this description is the aqua terra. Do you guys have any other suggestions, and are there any trusted online sites that sell Omega? Thanks in advance.-Adam
In a Pickle: Is a Tudor BB Necessary?
Hey guys, in a bit of a pickle right now and was hoping you guys could assist me with my conundrum. For some reason, I have been slowly gravitating towards a Tudor BB. The problem is, I already have a sub no date. This is a two part (maybe three) question.1. Is the BB a good compliment to the sub or is it too similar that i should just find another piece instead2. I found a good priced in house (not interested in the ETA variant) Tudor BB with the black bezel and faux aged lume BNIB but.... you remember when I said I was gravitating towards a Tudor BB? Well the model I've been lusting after is actually the one with the blue bezel and leather strap. I can't seem to find this one for a good price though. Should I suck it up and buy the pretty well priced brand new Black Bay w/ Black Bezel or is that just WAY too similar to the sub?3. This might have my thread removed, but can anyone recommend a good AD? I've been searching high and low but no luck in finding a good prices for the Blue var
